General Hospital Spoilers: Shocking Theory Lulu May Not Be Rocco’s Mother – Who Could It Be?

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal fans are talking about whether Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) are really Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) parents or not! The buzz that Kelly Thiebaud is returning to the ABC soap, whether she’ll play Britt Westbourne or not, seems to have gotten people talking!
Will The ABC Soap Drop A Bombshell?
Recent happenings on General Hospital have led some fans to speculate that the soap is poised to reveal a shocking truth about Rocco’s real parentage.
The question of his lineage was already explored in a storyline prior to his birth, but now viewers believe another surprise is imminent. Specifically, there are theories that Rocco may discover that Lulu is not his biological mother, raising the mystery of who his true parent might be.
Rocco made his debut on the soap around 2010, and audiences witnessed his birth, with the character being periodically ‘aged’ as the years went by. There have been several versions of Rocco over the years.
Rocco’s Parentage Was In Question Even Before He Was Born
As many soap fans might recall, the question of Rocco’s parentage stirred discussion even before his arrival. Originally, Dr. Britt Westbourne carried Rocco and claimed Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) was the father.
There was a time when a DNA test indicated that Patrick was the baby’s father; however, it was later uncovered that the test results had been manipulated by Britt’s mother.
Prior to that revelation, Patrick had intended to pursue full custody, but Britt subsequently asserted that Brad Cooper ( Parry Shen) was the biological father. Later on, Britt would also assert that the child was conceived using an anonymous sperm donor.
Nikolas Cassadine Requested Another DNA Test After The Baby Was Born, And Now Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase Is Digging
Ultimately, Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) discovered Britt had taken one of their embryos, and Nikolas Cassadine (most recently Adam Huss) insisted on another test. Britt, the baby and Nikolas were living together at the time, and it revealed that “Baby Ben” was indeed Dante and Lulu’s child. However, recent happenings in Port Charles have led fans to once again question Rocco’s parentage.
In a recent clash between Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) and Lulu, rumors surfaced suggesting that Britt, who passed away in 2023, might still be Rocco’s biological mother.
Brook Lynn could be the one to uncover the truth, especially after she started investigating medical records, having hired Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) was also to examine Britt’s past.
This Story Could Impact The Future Direction Of The Show
This narrative could potentially impact the show’s future direction-some viewers speculate that the soap might even contemplate bringing Britt back for a reunion with Rocco. After all, as previously mentioned, Kelly Thiebaud has confirmed her return to the ABC soap; however, it remains uncertain whether she will reprise her role as Britt.
That being said, not all fans are convinced that the soap will, or should, take this path. One fan remarked, “Why do people think Britt is going to be Rocco’s mother lol?” This fan opined the soap is likely setting up a scenario where Rocco discovers that Britt is actually his surrogate mother, catching Lulu in a lie, adding, “That’s where this is heading.”
Many Fans Are Tired Of Retcons, Where The Show Changes Its History
Yet, the fan expressed, “I’m just fed up with the retcons, particularly those that were well-developed on screen like the Britt pregnancy. It would be foolish to suddenly make Rocco Britt’s son since they’ve also built his connections with both Dante and Lulu; it would be a disservice to themselves.” Other fans believed that Rocco would still regard Lulu as his mother, regardless of biology or the fact that he was conceived via surrogacy.
On X, one fan commented, “In Rocco’s conception, Lulu was a victim-she did nothing wrong; Britt was at fault and Rocco should feel sympathy for Lulu. I don’t understand why he would be angry with her.”
