General Hospital Spoilers: Sam Won’t Die — But is Taking Lulu’s Place in a Coma Any Better?

General Hospital Spoilers: Sam Won't Die — But is Taking Lulu's Place in a Coma Any Better?

General Hospital soilers reveal Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is out at GH. Her last scenes have been filmed, and we’re about to witness them all go down.

But there may be one surprise in store that has been left for GH fans — especially those who really didn’t want to see Monaco part ways with the soap after 21 years of service to it.

Could it be that Sam doesn’t die, but that her life is placed in purgatory similar to how Lulu Falconeri’s (Alexa Havins) has been for the last three years?

The rumor mill is churning with theories, and this one is picking up steam. It could be wishful thinking, but perhaps the surgery gets complicated and leaves Sam without oxygen or otherwise injured on the table.

Could Lulu come out of this waking up while Sam drifts off to “sleep” for an indefinite period of time? If so, is that really better or worse than killing her off?

General Hospital Spoilers — The Old Switcheroo

Leave it to GH to give us one star and take the other away. There’s been quite a lot of that happening as of late. We got Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) back, but we had to lose Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

By the time he returned, we’d said goodbye to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). This year alone, we’ve said farewell to Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), Alison ‘Blaze’ Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), and many more.

Of course, we’ve gained Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), and are about to be reintroduced to Steven Webber (Scott Reeves). Now, we’re losing Sam — sort of?

GH Spoilers Relish Sam Wouldn’t Be Gone

If the transplant somehow helps Lulu to wake up from the coma that has claimed her life for the last three years, it’ll be the best holiday season we’ve seen in a while in Port Charles.

At the same time, while Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) is celebrating being back with his mother, Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) will be mourning the moss of their own.

But some fans are dying for any possible way to hang onto Sam versus just letting her die with dignity after giving her liver to save Lulu.

They want the door left open for her to return someday, and throwing Sam into a coma after the surgery is certainly the best way to do that.

General Hospital Spoilers — But She Also Wouldn’t Be Present

At the same time, some fans absolutely hate this idea. To be fair, many of them are still lamenting that Monaco is leaving at all, even though she has wrapped her final scenes.

Placing Sam in a coma would drag us right back into a far-too-similar storyline. Except this time around it would be Alexis Davis (Nancy lee Grahn) visiting her daughter in a long-term care facility rather than Laura Collins (Genie Franics).

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) would be tied up in knots over his current love being gone — all over again, and he would suffer from immense guilt that she lost her quality of life to sustain Lulu’s.

Is a coma good enough for Sam, or is a death with dignity better? Share your thoughts with us and keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers.
