General Hospital Spoilers: Ric’s Investigation Into Heather’s Lab Results Puts Pressure on Elizabeth to Confront the Truth
General Hospital spoilers leak it won’t shock Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) is digging deeper into the origins of the faulty lab work delivered by GH for his client, Heather Webber (Alley Mills).
Admittedly, Elizabeth has a bit of a soft spot for her former mother-in-law. If justice prevails and decides she’s allowed to go free, Elizabeth is on board with that. At the same time, she knows her boss — Co-Chief of Staff, Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) — certainly doesn’t feel that way about it.
Will she instantly put the pieces of this puzzle together and suspect Portia the same as Ava Jerome (Maura West) did? If so, will she choose to tell the truth, or might she pick the comforts of her job over doing the right thing?
General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Wasn’t Wrong
When Ava confronted Portia about the lab results, the good doctor was quick to dismiss any concern while defending GH’s reputation and insisting their lab is one of the best. That may be the case, which is why it’s all the more alarming that they got this particular set of labs so wrong.
Ava didn’t mince words when she told Portia she was worried that anyone else who wanted to get to the bottom of this mystery would be able to rather quickly.
It wasn’t rocket science considering the people involved and who would have had access to the results to change them. Now, Elizabeth is likely to put those same pieces together — especially considering she knows it was Portia who drew Heather’s blood that day.
GH Spoilers Claim Portia Plants a Seed of Doubt
Portia just had a blow-up with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) outside the nurses station the other day. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if that gossip got back to the
Head Nurse, Elizabeth. Portia’s prejudice against Brad probably should not have been on display in that manner. In fact, confronting him like he had already done something wrong wasn’t exactly out of character for Portia, but it was unprofessional.
At the time, she knew she was intentionally considering her own guilt in Heather’s case while blaming Brad for mistakes from his past that he already paid his time for. When she plants further seeds of count about Brad’s character, it may raise Elizabeth’s hair as she secretly disagrees.
General Hospital Spoilers — Ric Has Been Nothing But Kind
Elizabeth and Ric have a rather sordid history. He was the worst of husbands she’s had, that’s for sure. He slipped her birth control when she didn’t know it and it nearly cost her her life as she ended up with an embolism.
He did so to make her think she couldn’t have a child when she wanted one so badly. He cheated on her and lied profusely throughout their marriage, and yet, she has entertained him since his return to town.
Elizabeth always seems to believe in redemption and since Ric has been nothing but kind since coming back to Port Chuck, she may feel she owes him the truth about her suspicions. But can she prove what she thinks Portia is up to, and will she implicate her boss and Ava in the process?
