General Hospital Spoilers: Rick Hearst Confirms LiRic Reunion Is Possible As Ric Tries To “Woo” Elizabeth

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest some interesting developments in the land of Port Charles. This week, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) will get one-on-one time with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), something the two haven’t had a chance to do upon his return to the little town.

When the two ran into each other during the week of August 26, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was in LiRic’s orbit, and she quickly rushed Lansing away. Still, this week, he gets a second chance to really talk things out. It sounds like he’ll take the opportunity and run with it.

The character’s portrayer, Rick Hearst, sat down with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) to confirm that Ric is looking to “woo” the nurse back. But will she take the bait?

GH spoilers remind fans that during Ric’s last run in PC, he pulled out some underhanded moves to try to maneuver his way back into Liz’s heart. For those that recall, he was the one to hire Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) so that she could parade around as “Jake Doe’s” a.k.a.

Drew Quartermaine’s (played by Miller at the time time) wife. Ric was outed at the Nurse’s Ball, and Liz was quite upset, but she’s also not one to hold a grudge.

Still, this week, Liz and Ric will have a chance to sit down and chat and without Carly around. Hearst tells SOD that this is a big moment for him and that Elizabeth is the one that got away for Lansing. The good news is that it sounds like this scene will be one of many in the days and weeks ahead.

Rick reveals that his character never got over Elizabeth, stating, “The feelings stay there; the genuine nature of who the two of them were at the beginning of their relationship has never left.

And yet, they’re older, they’ve grown through experience and other relationships and time apart. But I think he will always try to come back to that moment where he could woo her and see if there is a possibility there.

The look in both of their eyes … the more that you see them, the more he actually interacts with Elizabeth and makes advances and movements toward her while he’s in town, the more he’s going to understand that this is a different time — but he ain’t giving up!”

When the actor first signed on for his GH return, he notes he wasn’t expecting to dive into the dynamics between LiRic. After all, the reason for his return is centered around his daughter Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and her recent loss. Still, Rick states, that he believes fans will be as “gratified” as he was by what the soap has in store for Ric and Liz.
