General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) may come clean to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) about Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) blackmail.
Ned has threatened to expose her as the whistleblower who turned Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) into the SEC if she doesn’t act as his corporate spy.
General Hospital Spoilers: Ned Quartermaine Using Same Leverage As Michael Corinthos?
Basically, Ned is using the same leverage as Michael is using to control Nina’s access to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and the grandkids.
But it takes on a different connotation when Ned wants to use it to get inside information from Michael and Drew about their deals through ELQ and Aurora Media.
Ned has been livid that Michael took over a deal he started working on with a company in Australia before he took that header at the Metro Court Pool.
But that turned him into Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) and Michael, as a Quartermaine family member basically took his place. The other ELQ co-CEO, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) hadn’t been available either so someone had to do it.
GH Spoilers: Nina Reeves Corinthos’ Tattling Does Michael Corinthos A Favor
Nina asks for Michael’s help in stopping Ned, tattling to him of Ned’s request of her and it’s actually doing a favor for Michael.
Nina could have chosen to do what Ned asked and that could ruin things for Michael and Drew’s plans, which are actually to take over ELQ.
The previous failed merger is what caused Drew and Carly to commit insider trading, so it wasn’t that it was a lie-Nina reported the truth through Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight).
Perhaps this secret plot of Ned’s being revealed by Nina to Michael will score Brownie points for Nina with Michael, and he’ll lighten up on his restrictions.
General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Corinthos Will Deal With Ned Quartermaine
Drew is in Australia closing the deal that Michael had taken over from Ned, so Michael will deal with Ned but he is appreciative of Nina’s honesty.
Michael realizes he has to be careful not to make Ned even angrier or he’ll jinx his and Drew’s takeover plans-instead, he’ll work him by talking about the previous merger attempt.
That way he’ll know if Ned gets riled up and accuses them of trying the same thing again, he can deny, deny, deny without cluing him in that Nina squealed.
Ned will get riled up and angry and Michael will try to placate him. But it won’t be easy to convince him they were acting in his best interests in his absence.
