General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will be busted by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for blowing the whistle to the SEC.
But before Michael tells Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) he’ll chicken out and use the opportunity to blackmail Nina instead!
General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Cain Beaten, Carly Spencer Running Kelly’s
If Nina hadn’t blown the whistle to the SEC about Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) committing insider trading things would be different.
Drew wouldn’t have gotten beaten within an inch of his life in Pentonville, and likely, Carly wouldn’t be running Kelly’s. The way it was Carly had lost her half of the Metro Court when she bought all those shares of Aurora stock and then the IPO and merger didn’t happen.
Michael had been convinced by Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) to let go of his vendetta against Sonny, and Willow became more open to her birth mother.
But when Michael got proof it was Nina who set the ball rolling to either his mother or Drew getting prison time-with Drew playing the hero-that was it.
GH Spoilers: Michael Corinthos Confronts Nina Reeves With His Proof
Nina has been on cloud nine over her dream elopement with Sonny and her daughter and grandchildren surrounding her; but then Michael shows up at her office.
He informs her that her luck has run out and he has something for her to listen to-he plays his recording of Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) confessing.
At first, Nina denies everything and says it was a misunderstanding, but Michael won’t back down, knowing Nina had Martin make the report.
Finally she caves and asks Michael what does he want, thinking she can explain everything to Willow, but Michael reminds her what she did nearly got Drew killed.
He says there is no way either Willow or Sonny will understand or forgive that, and Nina can tell he’s raging inside.
General Hospital Spoilers: Blackmailed
Nina begs Michael to not tell Sonny what he knows, because she knows how Sonny hates lies and secrets-even though he’s hiding plenty of his own.
Michael finally tells her he won’t take away his father’s happiness by exposing her, but there are some strict conditions to his silence. He wants to control Nina’s access to Willow and her grandchildren-and that is one tough thing to hear, and Nina’s devastated.
Michael enjoys having this control over Nina and he knows it’s only a matter of time until Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) gets his memories back and he’ll enjoy telling him.
As for Nina and Martin’s confession, even though she wonders what Michael might have on him to prompt this confession, she’ll still confront Martin as well.
