Here is what Maurice says about Michael on the announcement-“@iammichaeleaston will not be on @generalhospitalabc but that doesn’t mean you can’t see him and I believe he will get something incredible.
Because he is that kind of guy, and you will see him SUNDAY ON @mbstateofmind 10ampst”. It’s actually Pacific Daylight time not standard time as Maurice posted, however, so no time translation is necessary.
Neither Maurice nor Michael went into what they might be discussing, but you can bet Michael’s exit storyline about alcoholism and depression might be a good guess.
Another good guess might be the emotions experienced during Michael and Jophielle Love’s onscreen and offscreen goodbyes, as the two are quite attached to one another in a daddy-daughter way.

Fans posted good reactions to the announcement, one poster said on the joint Instagram, “Michael, I am so glad you did this.” She continued, “You said you’d do it if he asked last Fall so I have been looking forward to it. By Mo’s reaction I know there will be more tears which there have been every day-I love you and miss you so much already.”
Another fan posted: “am getting emotional hearing you’re two voices together i can feel the pain in your voices because you both have extraordinary big hearts toward others.” “It makes it more difficult but no matter what these are the moments we always remember no matter what we’re facing we’re never alone and stronger together.”
