General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will attempt to placate a livid Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).
After blackmailing Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) to be his corporate spy on Michael, he’s tearing into Michael for stealing his ELQ deal.
General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Corinthos Took Over For Ned Quartermaine
All Michael did was step up as a member of the Quartermaine family, taking over for Ned on this deal when he was Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) only.
Co-CEO Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was in Europe and Ned had been working on this deal with an Australian company when he fell in the Metro Court Pool.
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) went to Australia to finalize details, although it was Michael who closed the deal-with his own changes, which is what Ned’s upset about.
But Ned wants Nina to spy on Michael and Drew, neither Ned nor Nina aware that Michael and Drew are plotting a hostile takeover of ELQ! Michael will have to do some fancy footwork to try and convince Ned he had his and ELQ’s best interests in mind.
GH Spoilers: Two Huge Egos, Two Huge Tempers
If there’s one thing that Michael and Ned have in common, other than being first cousins, it’s their huge egos-actually, make that two things they have in common personality wise.
They also both have huge tempers and can be real hotheads and more often than not, they lose their tempers easily, although Ned can be patient better than Michael.
The two cannot help but clash having those huge egos and huge tempers in common-but one other thing all Quartermaines have in common is sometimes forgetting they’re family!
The Quartermaine family dysfunction and infighting is practically legendary, starting with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) and Tracy and their father, Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle).
General Hospital Spoilers: Ned Quartermaine Majoring On Minors
Ned is still harping on Michael not having a right to close his deal but more that he had no right to change his deal, he’s not even an ELQ employee.
Michael claims he did it for “family” and Ned doesn’t believe him – he thinks he swooped in to steal the deal and make it his own instead of Ned’s.
Ned is partially right-considering Michael and Drew’s secret plot to take over ELQ; but it was actually Drew’s idea and Michael’s going along with it.
Michael is actually doing a good job at not losing his temper and knocking his cousin off his feet! Ned’s being downright nasty about this but he finally calms down.
