General Hospital Spoilers: Maxie’s Crisis, Josslyn’s Gunpoint Standoff, and Britt’s Perilous Situation
General Hospital spoilers and updates for the week of August 18 tease Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is set to experience a collapse. Plus, Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) finds herself in peril, and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will be threatened at gunpoint.
Britt And Jason’s Reunion
The ABC soap has just unveiled its weekly preview, which, as always, provides thrilling glimpses into the upcoming events in Port Charles (and the 5 Poppies Resort) for the next five days.
The scene begins with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) standing in the doorway of Britt’s room at 5 Poppies Resort, where she is seated on the bed. They share a longing gaze before the camera zooms in on Jason as he warns her, “You’re in danger,” prompting a look of concern from her.
Viewers can feel that Britt is being held against her will, with the unknown man using her medication as leverage to make sure she continues her research and lab work. The pressing question remains: who is this mystery man, and will his identity be unveiled during the week of August 18?
Josslyn’s Threatened
Then, Jason is seen sitting at a table somewhere in the resort while Joss is peeking through the rose bushes.
She might have taken a walk, noticed Jason, and then concealed herself behind the flowers; nevertheless, Joss’s voice is audible in the background as she informs someone, “We have a problem.” It seems that Jason has caught sight of Josslyn in the preview video; however, this could just be clever editing, and only time will reveal the truth.
As the promo continues, the following clip features Joss opening the door to her resort room, where she encounters someone who appears to be Pascal (Marc Forget), pointing a gun at her! Then, Joss’s voiceover can be heard saying, “Let’s go get Britt!”
Maxie’s In Danger
The phrase, “Things take a turn for the worse,” appears on the screen as the preview concludes with a scene featuring Maxie, who cheerfully applies some drugged skin cream to her face.
It’s evident that she and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) are on the set of Home and Heart for another Deception segment. Lucy is conversing with the host, Flora Gardens (Susan Batten), while Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) stands off to the side, out of camera view, observing.
As Lucy and Flora discuss Deception’s skincare line, Maxie is seen putting on the skin cream, but soon starts to feel ill, becomes visibly unsteady, and ultimately collapses.
They all exclaim, “Maxie!” as she falls to the ground; Kirsten Storms is taking a temporary break from the show to relocate from L.A. to Tennessee – so, what will happen to Maxie’s exit storyline-will she be kidnapped after her collapse?
