The last thing Lucy is likely to expect is that Marty is still linked up in any manner to one of his ex-wives, but the way this secret keeps overlapping with Marty’s resistance to getting married is making viewers suspect his hefty paychecks have something to do with one of his former flames. During their visit to Pine Valley, Lucy and Felicia will unexpectedly come across another attorney — Jackson ‘Jack’ Montgomery (Walt Willey). Will they be able to snoop around at Jack’s office and figure out how Marty may be linked to him? In the past, Jack had a stellar reputation, but will he be forthcoming with Lucy and Felicia about his professional ties with Marty? It’s doubtful. Jack is bound by attorney-client privilege, preventing him from revealing anything that could potentially compromise his professional ethics. Lucy and Felicia will have to explore alternative avenues to uncover the truth behind Marty’s financial ties, because Jack is only going to leave them with more questions.

While a visit to Jack’s office may not reveal the nature of his connection with Marty, it’s possible that the financial transactions between them are not directly related to the PA attorney. If he is acting as liaison between a client and Marty, could that client be one of his former wives? Of course, the Deception founder wants Marty to make her an honest woman, but she never thought to ask him for the truth. Instead, she’s going behind his back to find it.
