General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will make a realization about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
She’ll realize the single red glove found at Wyndemere was hers, and she must have broken in-and she must have her memory back, or why would she?
General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Prince Returned Late For Ace Prince-Cassadine
Esme had suddenly changed plans Christmas Eve and had brought Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) to the Collins home so Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) could spend it with baby brother.
That had been a change, and a pleasant surprise for Spencer as well as everyone else in the household, since originally Spencer was going to Esme’s apartment. She didn’t pick Ace back up for a couple of days-and that was very odd, she wasn’t dating anyone new that anyone knew of.
After going with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to investigate the break-in at Wyndemere and finding that lone red glove, that it was Esme’s didn’t occur to Laura right away. But when she remembered Esme had red gloves, she also realized she must have regained her memories.
GH Spoilers: Why Break Into Wyndemere?
Laura doesn’t tell Dante her suspicions right away because she has no way to check Esme’s things since she’s living in her own place. Technically, she could check in her apartment since she has the spare key-at Esme’s request when she rented it; Laura’s helping pay for it so she has the right.
The only reason Laura can think of why Esme would have broken into Wyndemere is to try and make sense of her memories or fill in blanks-sometimes it helps. Laura had blocked out traumatic events herself and got resolution by visiting the scene of the trauma herself, but she decides not to push her to tell if she’s remembered.
The only damage done was the broken French doors and Ava Jerome (Maura West) verified nothing was missing so that’s minor, and insurance will pay for the doors.
General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Prince May Be Afraid To Tell She Remembers
Laura realizes if Esme remembers she may be afraid to admit it-for one thing, she’d be culpable for her crimes, and for the other thing, she may be ashamed.
The only person Laura tells her suspicions of Esme’s returned memories to is her husband, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and he wishes Esme would have told them. If her memories have resurfaced, that means she remembers the trauma that caused her amnesia, and that could be difficult to deal with on her own.
Laura understands that and agrees with Kevin, having lived through something like that firsthand, although the circumstances were very different and she was much younger.
But if it is shame that is behind Esme’s non-revelation of her memories returning, that is a good thing-it means she’s truly changed.
