General Hospital Spoilers: Jordan’s Career Doubts-She’d Rather Be Out Catching Bad Guys?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) is having some career doubts. Although she willingly took over the Deputy Mayor’s position at Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) requests, she realizes she’d rather be out catching bad guys!

General Hospital Spoilers: Paper Pushing Isn’t As Fun As Perp Pursuit

Even though Jordan took a more active part in helping Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) look for the Metro Court Pool shooter, her part was stopped.

The FBI swooped in and practically took over the case, that she had begun at the behest of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) who wanted to find out whose bullet crippled him.

Anna took the police commissioner job offered to her previously just so she wouldn’t be considered a civilian and could work the case, even though there are still clashes.

But Jordan is considered a civilian by John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) and she can’t be involved at all-and she doesn’t like it!

Anna still clashes with Cates constantly because of his tendency to not include the PCPD in the case-he shares information very unwillingly!

GH Spoilers: Jordan Ashford’s Quickly Becoming Bored With Her Job

Jordan’s quickly becoming bored with her job, paper pushing not as fun as perp pursuit-she’s in the thick of everything, as far as mayor stuff.

But she longs for the thrill of the chase, the satisfaction of bringing an offender to justice; and she doesn’t get to do a lot of that sitting behind a desk.

Basically, she is on call to handle mayoral things when Laura isn’t available, signing papers, officiating at different functions, things like that, working with Laura on things she needs help with.

Jordan longs for the action again after years of being a DEA agent or a police commissioner, although she doesn’t crave situations like she got into with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

General Hospital Spoilers: Jordan Ashford Is Stuck For A Term

However, like the mayor, the deputy mayor is someone who must fulfil a term, and Jordan’s basically filling out the term vacated by the previous deputy mayor.

Jordan will stick to it until her term is fulfilled but she’s going to be bored and restless doing so-but she’ll put up with it. She still has authority to have people arrested if need be, but it’s not her main responsibility-she does anything the mayor can do in the mayor’s absence.

One thing she is not, nor will she ever allow herself to become, is a danger addict-she wants law and order and justice, but not danger. She would never expose herself or her family to danger again, not willingly.
