This includes the time he prioritized Danny by moving into the Quartermaine mansion with him. Jason has always possessed a gentler side, but it certainly seems like we’re witnessing much more of it lately; it’s almost as if he’s reverting to his Jason Quartermaine persona.
While Jason still experiences heroic moments, such as those in Croatia, he is also enjoying numerous tender and emotional scenes.
The timing couldn’t be better, especially since Jason and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) are likely to venture back into romantic territory soon. Jason is breaking down Britt’s defenses and will keep doing so in the weeks ahead.
Jason Can Still Go “Stone Cold” When He Needs To, But He Has More Sides Than That
Certainly, Jason can always tap into his “Stone Cold” persona when necessary, but it’s refreshing to witness a more nuanced side of him. The passing of Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) has undeniably provided Jason with several opportunities to express his emotions and reveal just how deeply he cherished his beloved mother.
While Jason may not be the most emotionally expressive person, he does possess a sentimental nature that emerges in appropriate moments. Despite lacking many of his past Quartermaine memories, he has nonetheless affirmed his place as a genuine member of the family.
Even Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has become more open to Jason and has formed a connection with him through the shared grief of losing Monica.
The Show Has Leaned Away From So Many Mob Stories For The Time Being
Recently, as the show has shifted away from mob-related storylines, Jason feels a growing disconnect from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Additionally, Jason is hiding information from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) regarding Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) WSB status, which creates some emotional space between them – even if Carly’s not yet aware of it.
Jason will always hold love for both Sonny and Carly, but the series is exploring ways to develop Jason’s character beyond their influence.
