General Hospital spoilers question what will happen to Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) if Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) dies soon? News broke this week that Kelly Monaco is on her way out at GH, and she’s not being replaced.

While few would argue with the decision not to put someone else in the role, many are furious that Sam is being let go. The actress has yet to really break her silence on the issue, but reports said she was “blindsided” by the decision.

Who isn’t? Sam has already been cast aside the last few years after giving her a less-than-authentic role as an increasingly anxious and worrisome character who feared for her children because of the career paths the men in her life had taken on — long before she met them.

Now, killing her off altogether seems cruel, but it may be the best path forward to open the door to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) reuniting with Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan). But what happens to Danny and Scout if their mom is out?

While Drew is cordial and tactful enough to let the dust settle on this before he begins to make moves, he knows this could spur a special election that bumps up his timeline.

So, he could be catapulted into the winner’s circle, but is that what will be in the best interest of his little girl after she’s just lost her mother? Will Drew make the ultimate sacrifice and drop out of the race when he’s so close to winning?

GH Spoilers Mention Jason Isn’t the Best Fit

Few would argue that Danny was safer growing up with his father than his mother. But without Sam in the picture, it could mean major changes lie ahead for both Danny and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Can Jason really squeeze a child into his life now? He would definitely have to move out from living above Bobbie’s. Danny would require more supervision, and Jason would have to somehow shield him from the circles he runs in and the type of work he does. This doesn’t sound ideal.

With both Jason and Drew rather preoccupied by their careers that leave little room for sufficient parenting, we could totally see both Danny and Scout ending up at the Q mansion.

Drew will always claim that family comes first, but this is a major opportunity for him — and for the people of Port Charles to have someone like him serving!
