General Hospital Spoilers: Grief Changes Dante… Into More of a Sonny?

General Hospital spoilers gossip Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) isn’t the same man he was earlier this year. He’s gone through more than a few circumstances that have made him question the way he’s been living his life.

We’ve seen him backpedal on the most important things in his life, and even compromise his moral integrity — something we never thought we would see him part ways with.

Now, he’s about to be confronted with one of the most difficult realities he’s had to endure — Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) death — and it may leave him questioning everything and turning into a much darker version of himself than we’ve ever been privy to.

How might that impact his relationships with others, especially the darkest dude he knows — his dad, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?

General Hospital Spoilers — Death’s Door

It was only a few months ago that Dante was shot in the line of duty while trying to chase down a gunman who tried to kill his father. No one was certain that he was going to pull through.

After years of waiting for Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins) to wake up from a coma, and now recently struggling with potentially losing her — a reality that could still strike, the last thing he was expecting was to lose Sam.

How will Dante cope with all of this grief? We imagine he’ll have to lean on his family to pull him through it, and one person in particular knew Sam very well — Sonny.

GH Spoilers Gush There Have Been Ups and Downs with Sonny

Dante and Sonny haven’t had the easiest year. Their relationship has seen some hurdles that neither of them were sure they’d overcome.

But alas, they made peace. But when Sonny was reeling from a medication mishap and decided to go postal on Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) — and then tell Dante about it, his son wasn’t happy. As a cop, Sonny was putting him in a very compromising position.

But just a few months later, Dante found himself feeling more loyal to his dad than the badge when he sought to warn him about the PCPD’s intent to lure him into a confession for his crimes as a means of exonerating Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) — even though they had already cleared her as a suspect.

Now, grief may be the one thing that finally pulls these two together in a way we haven’t seen before.

General Hospital Spoilers — A New Beginning

The fans have been wondering for some time whether Dante was eventually going to go down a darker path in life that left him looking a little bit less like the boy in blue we have come to love and little bit more like his sinister mobster father.

How many punches to the gut can Dante handle before he goes over the edge and doesn’t come back? Will his father encourage that?

We know Sonny is going to need someone to step up to the plate and manage his business eventually. We keep waiting to see which one of his sons he will groom for that. Is this his way in with Dante? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.

  • I would love to see a dark version of Dante. He's been vanilla, boring and holier than thou for way to many years. But if you look real close and deep, you can see Sonny and Jason's world just below the surface in his eyes. Hope the ptb brings it out of him.
