General Hospital spoilers tease that the new writing team is making some big changes right off the bat. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) has finally discovered that he’s been taking placebos in the place of his bi-polar medication although he doesn’t know the role Ava Jerome (Maura West) played in the swap.
Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has returned to General Hospital as a nurse. But perhaps the most surprising turn of events concerns Blaze aka Allison Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez).
General Hospital Spoilers – Blaze was in the middle of several big stories!
Earlier this week, Blaze accepted an offer to tour overseas with a popular musical artist overseas. The timing couldn’t be worse because Blaze’s girlfriend, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) was just in a terrible accident and lost the baby she was carrying.
Kristina is broken both physically and emotionally, but she insisted Blaze take the offer because it was a once in a lifetime chance. But Blaze has other concerns in Port Charles as well. She will have to vacate her role as the Face of Deception.
GH Spoilers – Natalia Ramirez seems to be sticking around
Surprisingly, Blaze’s homophobic mother, Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) seems to be sticking around. Although she planned to return to Puerto Rico, Sonny had other ideas.
He offered to invest a large sum of money in Deception, provided they hire Natalia as the CFO. There’s some disagreement between the leaders of Deception, but in the end it looks like Natalia will get the job and therefore will be sticking around. And that’s the main issue fans have.
General Hospital Spoilers – Why keep Natalia Ramirez!
Eva LaRue is a powerhouse of an actress so it’s no wonder General Hospital wants to keep her around. But her character has been problematic from the start. Her homophobic views have caused Blaze and Kristina more than a little bit of trouble.
Perhaps the show wants to make some changes in order to make Natalia more sympathetic. That might be more difficult is fans are constantly reminded of her relationship with Blaze.
With Blaze, gone it might be easier to accept a kinder version of Natalia. But it’s still tough seeing Blaze leave, especially so suddenly.
