General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that fans are still reeling from Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting as the cut-throat congressman got shot this past week by someone unknown.
Who was behind the trigger? Well, there’s a long list of suspects, but as Drew survived the shooting (barely), let’s talk about what happens next for this vile character.

Drew has made a ton of enemies in Port Charles thanks to his blackmail and other nasty schemes.
While the top suspects range from Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to her daughter Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), fans can’t forget about others like Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), or even Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).
Drew’s sunk to new levels since he evolved from a hero to a zero, and this ‘Who Dun It’ storyline not only offers a nice mystery for fans to speculate about, but an opportunity for Drew to emerge from this, a brand-new man.
Drew’s Road To Redemption
Drew began changing significantly after he was released from prison in late February 2024. It started by actively pursuing his nephew’s wife.
However, recent behavior like alienating Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) from her family, putting down Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), and manipulating Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) crossed a line.
The ABC soap was going to extremes to help build up this shooting arc, but is there also a chance for Drew to head on a road to redemption once he wakes up?
What if his behavior was due to a brain tumor or injury from his prison beating? Then again, he could wake up from his coma with short-term memory loss or simply a changed man.
Can GH kill two birds with one stone: an intriguing ‘Who Dun It’, as well as a “zero to hero” redemption storyline?

This is all untrue. Drew has awakened and is still the vindictive blackmailer and horrible person he was before he was shot.
So tired of the Drew and Willow show. This needs to end now before more and more fans leave the show.

Drew has no redeeming qualities. Done that with the brain tumor issue. Send him to a soap opera heaven. Let Willow be killer and send her to Willow brook permanently. She has worn out het welcome.
