General Hospital Spoilers: Drew’s New Low Could Signal His Departure From GH After All
General Hospital Spoilers suggest Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) has hit an all-time low — if you ask most of the GH fan base, that is.
Many are disgusted by the current storyline between Drew and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) — and his involvement with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) on top of it all is making viewers cringe left and right.
Just when they thought Drew couldn’t stoop any lower, we watched him try to secure his twin brother’s silence this week after Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) sucker punched him in the foyer of his own home.
Certainly, that wasn’t Jason’s best course of action, and hardly as thought-out as he normally applies to any strategic illegal move he makes, but Drew knows precisely why he did it.
The gross part isn’t merely that he’s willing to leverage legal action to keep Jason’s lips zipped, but that he is more concerned about the incident coming out because of the why lurking behind it.
So we have to wonder whether the GH writers are hard at work making so many people turn against Drew because they don’t want a similar revolt to what they saw with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) when they decide it’s time for his curtain call.
General Hospital Spoilers — Could Drew Be Leaving?
Drew did just win the Congressional election that is slated to take him to Washington, D.C. It’s quite possible that this change in the storyline comes at the perfect time to take Drew out of the mix.
But it’s understandable to think the powers that be could be hesitant to ax another long standing character after the backlash they faced with Sam’s departure.
Moreover, fans are expecting to see Drew step up to the plate as a single dad now. Having him get off the hook by riding off into the sunset of D.C. could tick some viewers off.
GH Spoilers Say Many May Not Miss Him
At the same time, if the goal is to make the viewers so appalled by Drew’s behavior that they’re glad to see him go, then they may be on the right track.
The posts and comments haven’t stopped rolling in about just how turned off people are that Drew has fallen so far.
Many viewers are referencing the late Billy Miller and making comments about how happy they are that he’s not in this role now that it’s going so far south, in their humble opinions. So, perhaps people won’t be that disappointed after all if Mathison takes a break.
General Hospital Spoilers — What Would This Mean for Scout?
Let’s hold up just a minute though. With Sam already dead, if Drew ditches Port Charles, what will become of Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante)?
Shouldn’t that be the primary question on everyone’s mind right now rather than how poorly Drew is handly his transgressions with Willow?
It’s shaping up to look like Scout may be hanging behind with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampronga) or the Quartermaines while Drew galivants off to D.C. Maybe it’s for the best? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this family dysfunction pans out.
