General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) is aware that Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) husband is scheming to disgrace him.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) plans to damage his reputation and career with falsehoods; will Drew take action before it happens-is Portia on the verge of being arrested for the Ketamine incident?
Will Drew Perform A Preemptive Strike?
Drew could reveal Portia’s wrongdoings and get her arrested for hiring Jacinda (Paige Herschell) and supplying her with the drugs that caused that crazy night of partying that was filmed.
By the way, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) is in agreement with Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) plan against Drew, and the two are strategizing for the long haul.
Michael even urged Curtis to go along with it, to cooperate, and pretend to give in to Drew’s requests to publish that unfavorable article about the custody ruling.
At the same time, Curtis is working to shield Portia and put an end to Drew’s blackmail, aiming to break his hold over his wife permanently.
The strategy involved locating Jacinda, (Paige Herschell) and paying her to say Congressman Cutthroat obtained the Ketamine himself for recreational use while his girlfriend Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was away.
Kai Heard Everything
Curtis will certainly spread Jacinda’s false story throughout the media and ruin Drew’s life, or at least get it into the local tabloid, even if he doesn’t want to involve Aurora.
Currently, Curtis has private investigator Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) looking for the prostitute. They have a lead on Jacinda, and Felicia is very close to locating her in Sydney, Australia.
However, the major issue is that Portia and Curtis were not cautious while plotting and discussing their plan to destroy Drew, as Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) overheard everything.
Kai Warned Drew Of Curtis’ Plot
When Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) lied about leaving the Ketamine in Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) car at the press conference, Drew couldn’t say, “Cody’s lying,” because he had planted it himself.
He couldn’t defend himself since he was trying to frame her-then, to make matters worse, Tracy publicly humiliated Drew, leaving him very upset when he spoke to Kai. Let’s be honest, Drew is a monster. Yet, for some reason, he has been kind to Kai-even bad people can have soft spots.
So, when Drew said everyone was against him, Willow felt sorry for him because he had been nice to Kai and warned him about Curtis and Portia’s plans with Jacinda. And no, I’m not saying Kai is like a puppy, although he could certainly feel some loyalty and that he owed Drew.
Now Drew Can Get Ahead Of This
I want to emphasize that individuals with ill intentions can own pets such as puppies, kittens, and even children, treating them with care while being cruel to others—that’s Drew.
Thanks to the information Kai shared, Drew now has the opportunity to prepare. He is aware of his foes’ strategies because of Kai’s loyalty to him and his warning.
While Drew is definitely taken aback and possibly fuming, he also feels a deep sense of gratitude towards Kai for the alert. Now, Drew needs to strategize on how to take charge of this situation, even if it means he may have to make a sacrifice of Portia.
Drew Exposes Portia While Protecting Nina?
One issue, however, is that Portia had a partner in crime, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who is also a close friend of Curtis and is about to become Drew’s mother-in-law.
But as everyone knows, she’s also his former lover; this means that if Drew decides to file charges against Portia, it would also reveal Nina’s involvement.
You know, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) could potentially appear as a witness for Drew, but keep in mind that Brad only interacted with Portia.
Therefore, Drew could focus solely on Portia, have her arrested, and compel Nina to corroborate whatever narrative he presents to the police and the media.
No One Would Put It Past Drew To Blackmail Nina!
Drew just needs to inform Nina that if he goes to Willow and tells her Nina’s part in procuring the hooker and the drug. Willow would be extremely angry with her mom and likely cut her out of her life. Therefore, Drew might blackmail Nina to turn against Portia if she wants to keep Willow in her life.
He could compel Nina to negotiate with Jacinda to offer her more than what Curtis did and shift all the blame onto Portia-this could lead to Jacinda returning to town.
Curtis and Portia think they are about to achieve a significant victory, only for Jacinda to accuse Portia of paying her and supplying the Ketamine, completely excluding Nina from the situation.
Nina Between A Rock And A Hard Place
If Portia claims that Nina was involved, Jacinda can refute it, and Drew can argue that Portia is just making things up. Nina wouldn’t want to betray Portia and would feel terrible since Curtis is one of her closest friends, but her fear of losing her daughter Willow outweighs her concern for a friend.
Therefore, Nina might feel she has no option but to act for Drew-she’s between a rock and a hard place. If he makes this move, he can assure her that he will continue to protect her secrets, allowing her to remain in Willow’s life as long as she doesn’t go against him.
We Can’t Count Out Carly’s Assumptions
Currently, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) believes she understands what occurred, but in reality, she is merely speculating that Nina was responsible for drugging him.
She lacks solid evidence, so I’m not overly concerned about her coming forward to defend Portia since she doesn’t possess any real information or proof. Additionally, Drew can always hire Brad to return and testify against Portia, claiming she even forced him to take the Ketamine.
Therefore, if Drew manages to get both the escort and the dubious lab technician to assert that Portia targeted him, she could end up in prison for that alone.
There’s still the issue of Portia interfering with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) test results; so Drew has everything he requires to destroy Portia’s life, imprison her, and revoke her medical license.
Drew’s Nuclear Option
Drew had the option to do all of that, or he could sit down with Curtis and Portia. He could say, “Look, I have my finger on the button that can set off this nuclear bombshell that will tear your family apart.
It could ruin Portia’s career and land her in prison;” he could tell them, “I can push this button. I can take the nuclear option if you keep pushing me.”
Alternatively, he could say to Curtis and Portia, “Stop playing games, back off, just stop it completely.” This approach seems more like Drew’s style-it kind of makes him the perfect sleazy politician; but then again, maybe Drew is tired of people scheming against him.
Trina’s Betrayal And Devastation When The Truth About Kai’s Warning Hits The Fan
Speaking of the former football player, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will be heartbroken when she learns that Kai warned Drew about Portia and Curtis’s plans.
This could backfire on Kai-Trina may not be able to move past this, especially if Portia and Curtis refuse to cooperate and her mom ends up getting arrested. This might spell the end for Kai and Trina if Drew decides to press charges against Portia.
I doubt Kai realizes how serious the consequences could be for both Portia and himself for sharing this information with Drew. Kai is just a nice guy who believes Drew is facing trouble he doesn’t deserve-but Portia has brought all this upon herself, as she always does.
Jordan Tried To Warn Portia
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) mentioned this right before Portia splashed a drink in Jordan’s face at the pool. It’s understandable that Portia was trying to protect Trina from Heather-that makes sense, but it’s not her only lies and wrongdoings.
The Ketamine situation was quite suspicious. The information from Kai is extremely valuable to Drew, and I’m sure he will reward him, but Trina is likely to punish Kai when she learns he spilled the beans.
So, will Drew take action against Portia and have her arrested because he believes she and Curtis will never change?
