Recently, however, she has been the focus of rumors regarding her romantic life; someone close to the situation has provided some insight into a viral story suggesting she’s married Wes Ramsey.
Laura And Wes Have Been In A Committed Relationship For Eight Years Now
Wright has had a notable career in soap operas; she began with roles in shows such as Loving, The City, and Guiding Light. For many, though, her most significant role has been as Carly Spencer on GH; she joined the soap in 2005, becoming the fourth actress to portray her.
She’s continued in this role for many years-while in her personal life, she was married to John Wright from 1995 until 2016.
For the last eight years, she has been in a relationship with Wes Ramsey, known for his role as Peter August on the ABC soap.
Recently, Wright’s personal life sparked rumors among fans; however, she took to social media to clarify the situation.

On X, a fan inquired about some news that was spreading online; the post featured a picture of Wright and Ramsey together.
The caption stated, “Shocking revelations! Laura Wright gets married, takes 3 months off from GH to rest,” the fan then commented, “I think you forgot to tell us all your big news?!” They clarified they were joking by adding, “JK, I wanted to share what is on FB-”the actress responded to the post with one simple word: “fake.”
As mentioned in the comments, this indicated that the photo was generated using AI, and fans flocked to the comments to express their thoughts on the story.
Many concurred that steps should be taken to stop the use of AI for creating fake news-a few even pointed out some obvious signs that revealed the image was not real.
A Few Fans Would Have Liked It To Be True
On the flip side, some fans confessed they would have preferred to see the couple get married; a few comments were: “I just saw it on Facebook too and realized it was fake.” “Why, you two look so joyful in that picture-you might want to think about making it real;” “it’s a nice picture, though, lol! I wish there was a rule that all AI-generated images had to be watermarked.”
“I knew it was fake when I noticed the bouquet- who includes baby’s breath in a bouquet?” and “Not a very well-made picture, his neck seems a bit over the collar.”
The funniest fan comment has to be “That would be quite the honeymoon if you needed 3 months to recover afterwards…” we’re sure Laura and Wes laughed about that!
