General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that since the revelation regarding Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) parentage became public, he has been distancing himself from many of his family members.
This includes Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who was taken aback and downright shocked when he discovered that Gio is his son with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).
Dante Wants To Form A Father-Son Bond, But Gio’s Rejecting Him Since Being Accused
Dante is eager to forge a connection with Gio, yet he is encountering some obstacles; Gio was very hurt by Dante’s previous accusations, having known him from Bensonhurst.
After Dante held Gio responsible for Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) alcohol poisoning incident, Gio assumes Dante’s true feelings towards him, and assuming Dante must have known he was his son, rejected.
From Gio’s perspective, the revelation of their father-son relationship shouldn’t alter anything, even though now he knows Dante didn’t know he was his son.
It’s evident that this plotline requires a significant turning point – one that reveals to Gio the goodness in Dante’s heart and the depth of his care, and not just reveals it, proves it. What could be a more impactful way to demonstrate this than for Dante to save Gio’s life?
The Feud’s Ramping Up Between Sonny Corinthos And Jenz Sidwell
With the intensifying feud between Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), Dante may just find that chance. GH’s most recent weekly preview features Sidwell examining pictures of Sonny’s family members – Gio included.
In the promo, Sonny ominously predicts that violence is on the horizon for Port Charles and expresses his desire to prevent it, but it might already be too late! If Sidwell proceeds with his concerning plans, Gio could find himself in serious danger; whether Gio faces kidnapping or gets caught in the crossfire, Dante might take action to rescue him.
It’s easy to envision Dante executing a thrilling rescue – possibly with help from Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), which could also mend their fractured relationship.
Chase Will Want To Jump In To Help Save Brook Lynn’s Son-He’s His Stepfather
Obviously, Chase will want to jump in to help save Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase’s (Amanda Setton) son, after all, he’s his stepfather, since he’s married to Brook Lynn.
Chase will undoubtedly do everything possible to protect Brook Lynn’s son if Gio finds himself in a perilous situation. With that in mind, it’s reasonable for Dante to step up and potentially risk injury while rescuing Gio from a dire outcome.
Dante might put his own life on the line for Gio, which could lead to a genuine connection forming between them. According to General Hospital spoilers, Gio is expected to reassess his perspective on Dante in the weeks ahead, so keep watching.
