General Hospital Spoilers: Dante Navigates a War Between the Law and His Family — Will He Lose Either Way?

General Hospital: Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna)

General Hospital spoilers report District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) didn’t even leave the courtroom after Willow Tait Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) before she was reacting to Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) insistence that she go after Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) for shooting him.

Now that Drew might be removed from the equation, she may have more latitude to sidestep the whole issue, but she has already given Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) the order to build a case against his brother. Something tells me Dante won’t wriggle out of this that easily.

If he is forced to go after Michael for a crime he didn’t commit, how will the rest of their family choose a side?

Turner Sidesteps…or Steps Aside?

DA Turner has already given Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) her word that if the state decides to prosecute Michael — which is likely — that she’ll recuse herself from the case.

That’s the most ethical and practical option since she is compromised, having been present when Drew tried to blackmail Sonny in one of his many pursuits against Michael. But stepping aside from the case isn’t the same as sidestepping it altogether, which is the outcome Sonny not-so-graciously pushed for.

How will his take on Drew not being deserving of justice reflect on his son back at the PCPD? Does Sonny care about the position he’s putting his son in at all? He’s probably going to be furious, however irrationally, that Dante even complies with this investigation.

General Hospital: Nathan West (Ryan Paevey)

Nathan Might Push This Along

Dante doesn’t just have to contend with Turner’s opinions and impressions of his family, but it won’t help matters to have that deck stacked against him.

Nonetheless, it does seem like Turner has faith that Dante can do the job without his personal feelings getting in the way, which is more than she can say for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). While Chase has been on suspension, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) has been picking up the slack at the station when he’s not busy getting closer to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruneing).

Will his blossoming relationship with Dante’s ex-wife give Nathan room to paint a narrative of the investigation against Michael that makes Dante look less than honorable? I have a bad feeling about this guy who claims he is Nathan.

Brook Lynn Will Be Furious

Dante is used to getting flack from Lulu, but hearing it from the mother of his other son might be more difficult, considering she’s married to Chase.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has been bent on Michael’s innocence the whole time, and she’s not likely to take kindly to Dante acting like he isn’t and going after his own family on the heels of having suspended her husband.

There’s no question that Michael stands to lose the most here, but it sounds like Dante might come up short on family members when it’s all said and done, too. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out for everyone involved.
