General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus Renault’s Stunning Transformation!

General Hospital spoilers tease that thanks to his agreement with Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros), Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will soon have an all-new audience for his sermons.

As viewers know, Nina managed to secure “air time” for Cyrus to spread his good word. But little does Nina realize, she may have given Cyrus exactly what he wants.

At the moment, it’s unclear if air time means a podcase, radio time or a television slot but no matter what, Cyrus will apparently have a new career.

General Hospital Spoilers – What does Cyrus Renault want?

It also not clear exactly what Cyrus’ motives here are? Let’s take the simplest option first. Cyrus really wants to impress Laura Collins (Genie Francis) by proving to her that he has not only changed but that he is doing good by preaching the word of God.

After all, Cyrus did recently have a heart attack and an out-of-body experience that may have truly changed him for the better.

This would be easier to believe if he hadn’t recently had Ava Jerome (Maura West) kidnapped in order to blackmail Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) in order to get released early from prison. He clearly hasn’t changed as much as he would like people to believe.

GH Spoilers – Cyrus Renault turns public opinion against Sonny Corinthos!

It clear that Cyrus still has issues with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard). He admitted as much to Laura. He can’t understand why Laura holds Sonny (also a career criminal) in such high regard and yet won’t trust in his reformation.

If Cyrus is popular during the air time Nina provided, he could use the time as a platform to turn the public opinion against Sonny. If suddenly Sonny becomes the target of an angry mob who listens to Cyrus’ every word, it could pose serious problems, including violence.

General Hospital Spoilers – Dawn of Day Part 2

It wasn’t all that long ago that Port Charles was besieged by the Dawn of Day Cult. At one point, both Kristina Davis-Corinthos (Kate Mansi) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) were members of Dawn of Day.

Let’s not forget Cyrus has always been a drug kingpin. Perhaps he wants to restart Dawn of Day, or another organization like it, in order to peddle his drugs without detection. He could potentially turn his followers into drug dealers or addicts, thus furthering his criminal empire!

What do you think?

Has Cyrus really reformed? Why does he want airtime for his preaching? Could he have an underlying, or even a sinister motive?
Anything can happen in Port Charles so stay tuned to General Hospital airing weekdays on ABC. And don’t forget to check back right here regularly for all your General Hospital news, information and spoilers!
