Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) sure is growing tired of being the last to know what her husband is fiddling around with when it comes to his ex-wife, Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).
Now that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) has been accused of shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), and now that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) brought the defense of a lifetime to the interrogation room, the PCPD is in hot water, and it’s largely looking like it’s Chase’s fault. Losing his job could be the last straw for his marriage.
Willow Withers on the Vine?
Willow has no idea yet that Chase is on the hook for what she did. Her idea to plant her house key on Michael’s key ring may have seemed like a good plan at the time, but she also didn’t seem to think it through.
Chase stumbling upon her keys will look orchestrated even if she has the nerve to speak up and confess to what she did. Will Chase even let her take that risk for him if he finds out that she was behind this, or will he insist on taking that hit for her?
Brook Lynn Puts Her Foot Down?
As Brook Lynn continues to demand full transparency in her marriage, she’s bound to start getting pretty fed up with finding out what her husband is up to — after he makes critical mistakes that continue to set them back.
She and Chase were just sitting down with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to map out their chances of adopting a baby soon.
Now, she has to wrestle with the fact that her husband may have actually been plotting to take down her cousin — all in the name of playing hero to his ex-wife. Does his loyalty to Willow mean he’s got one foot in his new marriage, and one foot in his old one?
Stand By Your Man
I have to wonder which of these women is really going to stand by Chase in the end. Brook Lynn has been far more patient with Chase than many women would normally be.
She didn’t even get that mad when she found out he had gone rogue investigating Willow’s case and was bent on exonerating her. But since she was acquitted, he can’t seem to stay away, and that’s going to be a problem for his partner-turned-boss, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Brook Lynn won’t be able to hold it against Dante if he fires Chase, and she won’t be able to stay angry with her cousin because his fury is justified.
Will her anger and resentment instead target the one person who seems to deserve it — her husband? Might that only push Chase further away and closer to Willow, who will undoubtedly love the risks Chase took on her save her? We all know how Willow feels about hero worship. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
