Sonny thinks that the SEC wants Drew more than Carly which could translate into a deal to give him up to save her hide. Carly is very loyal however and she’s involved with Drew. Besides that she knows she is the one who brought this whole mess on with interfering in Drew’s business in the first place, even after being told no. Vintage Carly.
Which is why it makes sense that Carly would remain stubborn and refuse to snitch on Drew. In this scenario they could both wind up in court.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) is the best lawyer on the east coast and she told Carly she would lose the case if it got that far. But Diane is just as stubborn as Carly and she’s not giving up. And btw, who is shipping Diane and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers)?

If the hot mess goes to trial it may be that the OG snitcher, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is exposed. That would mean a huge blowup between her and Sonny and other assorted courtroom drama.
Sonny is hot on the trail of however fed the SEC the info and he wants to discredit them. Somehow our money is on Diane finding out Nina was the source and dramatically forcing her to confess all on the stand.
Let’s face it, Diane would have Nina for lunch and Sonny and Carly would gladly wipe up the crumbs and throw them in the dumpster.
