General Hospital Spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) didn’t seem so disgusted by Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) when he stopped by Bobbie’s and appeared to be just as concerned with Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) familiarity with Agent Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) as she was.
Still, there’s no way Carly has let Jack off the hook, but there may be some reasons she’s easing up on the guy, and you know, I don’t mind it. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) came into this deal worried that Carly might go soft and forgive her guy, and I think those concerns are valid, but will they mean she sticks it out with him? That’s a different story.
Turning the Rage Page
When Carly first flew to Switzerland to meet with Valenin, she was furious and full of rage. She wanted to ruin Jack and blindside him as badly as he blindsided her.
She wanted it to break him in ways he didn’t know were possible. Judging from Valentin’s comment about Carly sleeping with him to get back at Jack, and her concession that that was part of her motivation, it’s clear she hasn’t totally moved on from wanting revenge.
Still, she doesn’t seem quite as angry with him these days as she was before. It’s not that she isn’t still mad at what he did recruiting Joss into the WSB behind her back, and it’s not that she is ready to forgive him and stay together, but it may be that she cooled off and doesn’t desire revenge as much as she desires protecting her daughter.
GH Spoilers Say the Bubble Burst
Of course, one of the ways Carly will be propelled to move forward in her life with this situation is because she and Joss have now cleared the air. Joss is in the WSB, Carly knows it — and Joss knows Carly knows it! The blinders are off, though not for Jack.
With Joss being so certain that the WSB is where she wants to be, Carly might be in a bind here trying to get her ripped out of it.
If she’s not fighting to bring Jack down, and she’s not fighting to get Joss out, what’s she fighting for? She might be forced to ask herself that soon.
Greener Pastures Lie Ahead
Some of us have been waiting weeks for Carly and Valentin to finally scratch that itch. I’m glad she’s moving on, but it’s not as though she can announce it.
Moreover, if she develops real feelings for Valentin, can that relationship have any legs? He’s a wanted man, but we’ve seen GH spontaneously clear convicts’ names more than a time or two so they can come back into the real world.
Carly and Valentin as a couple would rock Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) world, not to mention Jack’s! But the more she takes to Valentin, the less important her vendetta against Jack may become. Keep checking back with us every day for more GH news and spoilers.
