General Hospital spoilers reveal plenty of fans had a sneaking suspicion all of this time that Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) wasn’t who he claimed to be.
While we still aren’t totally clear on just who he is, we know for certain that he’s a man made of secrets. Ava Jerome (Maura West) is no stranger to them, but she’s allowed herself to share some of her darkest mistakes with Austin ever since he walked in on her after she nearly clobbered Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) to death.
But Ava is tired of getting the runaround from Austin, and using her charms to ply the truth from Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) hasn’t worked in her favor either.
General Hospital Spoilers — What is Austin Hiding?
Austin may or not be the bad guy his connections make him appear to be. Sure, having links to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) dating back to his childhood doesn’t help his image.
Expressing gratitude to and working for the guy doesn’t do anything for Austin’s character either. But there could be more to him than meets the eye.
His recent scuffle with Nikolas proved as much when he was pressed as to why he was at Wyndemere the night Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and his gang made their appearance.
Austin was not eager to tell Nikolas he had any other interest in Ava than what he’s already conveyed.
GH Spoilers Report His Feelings May Be Genuine
We don’t actually know Mason and Austin were in this together from the beginning. Mason obviously absconded from Spoon Island with Nik’s near-lifeless body, but that doesn’t mean Austin was on the same page as he and Cyrus at the time.
Recall, he was trying to part ways with that lifestyle and leave it in the past. It’s quite possible that he only jumped back into the ring to try to protect Ava.
Could his intentions be pure even when his actions are far from it?

It’s also quite possible that Mason and Austin were working together against Ava in the beginning, but that doesn’t mean Austin hasn’t since decided to go his own way.
He has clearly communicated to Mason ever since he came to town that he wants no parts of him or Cyrus – and he followed-up personally with Cyrus, too.
But Austin still has Nikolas in his midst, and it’s obvious he hasn’t been transparent with him either.

How can Austin lose what he doesn't have other than having another romp between the sheets ??
No he for sure will lose Ava after she finds out his knowing Nickolas is alive and he knew the whole time....
