General Hospital spoilers reveal a chilling mystery grips Port Charles, and this week on General Hospital, the shocking revelation that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is being held captive, potentially by a family member, sends fans into a frenzy — yet the usual suspects, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey), are off the table.
With Ryan Paevey’s confirmed return to GH, announced on August 18, 2025, speculation swirls that Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), presumed dead since 2018, might be the mastermind behind Britt’s ordeal.
Could Nathan, Britt’s half-brother, have survived and taken a dark turn akin to his father and half-brother, using her Huntington’s condition to control her?
Nathan’s Dark Resurrection Shakes Britt’s World
captivity, hinted at through her secretive behavior in Dubrovnik, takes a sinister turn if Nathan is pulling the strings. Fans on Facebook point to Paevey’s return, suggesting Nathan faked his death after Faison’s 2018 shooting, mirroring GH’s love for resurrections.
If alive, Nathan’s turn to darkness — perhaps exploiting Britt’s medication to enforce compliance — echoes Faison’s manipulation and Peter’s cruelty.
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) would be devastated to learn her son might be behind this, raising the stakes for Britt’s escape. Is Nathan the puppet master, or a pawn in a larger game?
GH Spoilers Say a Family Legacy of Control Unfolds
The idea that Nathan is holding Britt captive taps into the family’s twisted legacy, with fans theorizing he’s adopted Faison’s and Peter’s penchant for domination.
Paevey’s return, set for September air time, hints at a new character or Nathan’s revival, possibly using Britt’s health as leverage. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), tracking Britt, might uncover this betrayal, forcing a confrontation with a brother-in-law turned villain.
Will Nathan’s dark evolution shatter the West-Obrecht family, or bind them in a sinister alliance? How might the loved ones he left behind feel about his return as someone so dark and twisted? Will he be granted any leniency for holding Britt captive if brainwashing or a mental break is suspected? Might she lawyer up and lie to protect her brother?
Can Britt Break Free from Nathan’s Grip?
Britt’s captivity by Nathan could unravel a dark chapter in General Hospital, with his potential survival marking a chilling shift none of us saw coming. With Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) potentially dying this week — or at best, falling into a coma — we wouldn’t be surprised to see Nathan return just weeks too late to say goodbye.
The fans are awfully torn, with some hoping Jason rescues Britt but fearing Nathan’s vendetta might escalate. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see if Nathan’s return exposes a family curse or redemption.

I certainly hope it is not Nathan but another evil twin. Spinelli deserves to be Maxie’s love. She deserves someone who will always be there for her not a turned evil Nathan or an evil twin.
That's just plain ignorant. Why would Nathan fake his death? He was happily in love with Maxie with a baby on the way. He wouldn't do that to her. Possibly, Faison, Peter, or someone else faked his death and he's been held against his will all this time. But how many times are they gonna use that scenario? And if they do, can the culprit please be holding very much alive Julian, Franco, Sam, and Spencer? I would include Dex but I've fallen in love with Vaughn and love him with Joss, so maybe not...

NATHAN AND BRITT WERE FULL SIBLINGS.

JASON AND NATHAN AREN'T BROTHERS-IN-LAW. THERE'S NO FAMILY CONNECTION.
Let Nathan be evil twin behind Britt's confinement. Nathan had no reason to fake his death. Get Joss and Vaughn together again. They hold promise of a funcouple.
