General Hospital Spoilers: Brennan’s Ulterior Motive-To Finish What Jagger Started?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease there has to be more to Jack Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) return to Port Charles than meets the eye! Since his release from prison, he vanished only to reappear as the leader of the local WSB office, shrouded in an air of intrigue about his true intentions.
General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Brennan Really Up To?
It seems he was let go from prison because both the WSB and the FBI wanted to distance themselves from the problematic investigation involving John Cates (Adam J. Harrington) and Pikeman.
However, after his release, it was puzzling why he had so many options for where to work as a reintegrated member of the WSB, yet he opted for Port Charles. At first glance, his interest in Port Charles seems to revolve around Carly (Laura Wright).
When they first crossed paths at Bobbie’s, there was a palpable chemistry, particularly from Brennan’s perspective. Having done his homework on her, he suspected she was spirited and clever, but he was genuinely taken aback by her charm and presence in person.
GH Spoilers: Brennan And Carly Did Seem To Bond
As the weeks passed, Carly and Brennan found themselves engaging in deeper conversations, which gradually forged a connection between them.
This bond grew particularly strong as Carly leaned on Brennan for support during her troubling times, especially with the looming threat of prison due to Jagger’s actions. In a surprising turn of events, Brennan managed to eliminate the evidence in the FBI case against her, bringing a glimmer of hope to Carly’s situation. With Brennan now actively pursuing her, asking her out on dates repeatedly, it’s easy to envision Carly succumbing to his charm, even with Jason (Steve Burton) urging her to stay away. If Carly and Brennan do embark on a romantic journey, will he truly have achieved all his goals since returning to town-it doesn’t seem likely.
General Hospital Spoilers: Could Brennan Be Out To Take Down Sonny, Finishing Jagger’s Mission?
It’s possible that like Jagger initially did, Brennan’s getting close to Carly because he really wants to take down Sonny, and Carly and Sonny have years of history!
By “taking down” he may or may not mean taking him out, even Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) didn’t intend that. It seems that for Jagger, “protecting Sonny” was just a ruse, and it was all about his vendetta-he didn’t want someone else to kill him before he had his own revenge.
Sonny has narrowly dodged Jagger’s fury and now finds himself engulfed in turmoil following the assassination of a federal agent.
Yet, we must keep in mind that Brennan could have returned to Port Charles to pick up where his former partner Valentin and Jagger left off in their quest to eliminate Sonny.
