General Hospital Spoilers: Brennan Backs Britt Into a Corner — Will She Find a Way Out?

General Hospital spoilers leak Jack Brennan (Chris McKennna) is used to applying pressure where needed, and lucky for him, he gets to dictate the pace at which that pressure brings his plans to fruition.

He knew exactly what he was doing by promising Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) he would get her medical license reinstated.

Now that he has, he’s ready to collect on her debt and not about to let her forget it. The look on her face when she bumped into him at Bobbie’s said it all.

She knows she owes him, but she’s not keen on the lengths she’ll have to go to be free of the WSB hanging over her head either. Really, she is in danger at both ends, and likely weighing which enemy is worse to have — Jack, or Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

Sidwell Drives a Hard Bargain

Sidwell hasn’t given Britt much wiggle room. Since she came back home from Croatia, he’s been hot on her heels and ready to remind her that he holds the key to her life.

Quite literally. Sidwell is somehow supplying a miracle drug that has kept the symptoms of her Huntington’s Disease completely at bay.

The thought of not complying with Sidwell doesn’t just make Britt fear for her symptoms returning and leaving her with a slow and agonizing death preceded by deterioration.

After seeing him shoot and kill Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) in his living room without any warning sign, Britt knows Sidwell means business, and she’s not trying to cross him.

GH Spoilers Report Jack Can’t Compete

Given how seriously dangerous Sidwell has been in Britt’s presence — and to her, she may not be as concerned about Jack. But he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing for certain.

Britt isn’t stupid. She would never trust anyone leading operations at the WSB, and she knows this tit-for-tat with Jack was just that — a business agreement. That doesn’t mean she is comfortable with the fact that he has something to hold over her.

She’ll want to get rid of that feeling as fast as possible, but how can she when it’s Sidwell she is up against?

Britt Needs Back-Up

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is pushing Britt to give him a dose of the drug she is taking to reverse engineer in hopes of getting her a supply that won’t require her to be Sidwell’s gopher for the rest of her life — however long that is. But Britt has been pretty touchy about letting him help her in any way.

I have a sneaking suspicion that she will soon be in over her head in some capacity — and it’ll be more serious than not being able to afford rent, get a loan for a car, or post bail for running out of a dinner tab. Jason is certain to come to her rescue, but how will he get her out from under both Sidwell and Jack’s thumbs? He too may have to choose. Which way will he go?
