His surprise appearance at the Quartermaine’s over Thanksgiving clearly warmed his newly-recognized mother’s heart. But his pops, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), was nowhere to be seen.
As Gio continues to draw a line in the sand and pretend he doesn’t want a relationship with Dante, his father appears to be doing the same. Perhaps this apple didn’t fall too far from its tree?
Brook Lynn might not have gotten through to Gio over the holiday, and her words may fall on deaf ears the next time she sees Dante, too, but the detective dad is far from hopeless. It looks like Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) will help to remind us of that.
Brook Lynn Doesn’t Hold Back
Brook Lynn told Gio she wouldn’t have any trouble telling Dante how she feels about the way he’s been treating their son — and she meant it. She hasn’t had the face time with him just yet to lay it all out for him, and she’s well aware Dante’s family has been through the wringer with Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) just being released from jail.
There may be a time and a place for everything, but Brook Lynn is eager to have it out with Gio’s dad and help him move forward with him just like she has. There’s just one problem. Dante may not want to.
GH Spoilers Leak Dante Can Dish It
During Thanksgiving, Brook Lynn and Gio caught up in the kitchen. When she expressed how much she knows Dante wants to have a relationship with Gio, it didn’t seem like the kid was open to hearing it.
He wasn’t confused; he was resistant. He’s heard enough of what Dante has to say about him at this point and can’t see how they could move forward.
He would probably be traumatized and constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop with Dante’s abrupt temper. Can we blame him? So when Brook Lynn approaches Dante and fills him in on the progress she has made with Gio, she may be shocked if he doesn’t respond all warm and fuzzy.
Lulu Lets ‘Er Rip
Brook Lynn and Dante have made peace with the Gio situation, despite her lying and concealing the fact that she even had Dante’s baby and gave him up for adoption.
But as angry as Dante was over the missed time and opportunity, he sure isn’t trying to make up for it by pushing Gio away every chance he gets.
Brook Lynn may not be the right person to call Dante out on this though. Sure, they have a child together, but they were never really a team or in a relationship.
Lulu knows Dante much better and something tells us she’s going to lay into him about his decision to order Rocco to steer clear of his own brother.
Could Lulu be a part of how Gio and Dante finally come together, and if so, will that good will wipe the slate clean with Dante for the bad job she did of handling Gio’s adoption reveal earlier this year?
