That way she can turn Drew in for Jack Brennan’s (Chris L. McKenna) death, and get her daughter Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) out from Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) influence!
Ava Will Be Making Some Huge Sacrifices, But It May Be Worth It
Ava will be making some huge sacrifices if she goes through with this, but it may be worth it in the long run-although Avery will miss her sister, Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears).
Ava will give up her art business-and her mother-daughter like relationship with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) but there’s a chance her friend Nina will be freed.
Even better, Sonny can’t fight her for Avery when witness protection involves new identities and lives in different locations!
Avery will miss her father too, but it’s something that may be their only chance to get free from Drew as well, and he’s even more dangerous than Sonny, as far as Ava’s concerned! Nina warned her not to trust him, but she thought she could handle whatever he dished out-and him-she found out different!
Accomplices Have Gotten Witness Protection Before
Ava knows that accomplices have gotten witness protection before-her brother Julian Jerome (William DeVry) committed numerous crimes, but got witness protection.
He returned many years later to Port Charles, under the name Derek Wells, running the first iteration of Crimson Magazine-which he tried to run in the ground.
By the time he came back, there was no one around who recognized him-except his sisters, and at that, Ava was much younger and they were raised apart. Julian was in town for several years, before he met a fatal end-thanks to Sonny.

Ava is giving the idea some serious consideration, as it may be her only way out-she knows that Drew could turn around and frame her just like he did Nina.
All he’d have to do is go to Brennan’s grave and get the shovel dirty and plant it-maybe in the art gallery’s storage room! Not to mention Ava and Nina were seen together several times around the time Brennan disappeared-but no one seems to mention when Ava was seen with Brennan.
Drew no doubt would report that bit of information if he were turning the tables on Ava, throwing her under the bus. Of course, there is the risk that Ava would have to take that Drew would destroy any evidence that could corroborate her accusations!
