General Hospital spoilers report Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) spontaneously got his memory back just before Thanksgiving. Now, the dust has settled and everyone naturally expects that things will go back to normal.
But little does anyone know, Ned is struggling with the leftover feelings that Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) left behind. When he was trapped in his own mind as Eddie, he felt no part of Ned’s existence.
Now, he’s struggling to merge both of them and maintain his sanity — and none of his family has any idea. However, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has just returned to town and was quick to label him as Eddie right away when she spotted him with a guitar.
Of course, he corrected her, but it dawned on him that others might see his outward behavior as “a little too Eddie” just as much as he does.
General Hospital Spoilers — Tracy Called It
Ned might not be a stranger to guitar strings, but sitting around the kitchen in a t-shirt and strumming along isn’t the typical way he spends his afternoons either.
Big deal, right? Maybe he took a page from Eddie’s book and decided to embrace his musical side a bit more for the sake of taking it easy and smelling the roses.
Alright, that doesn’t sound like Ned at all. But the bigger issue has little to do with his musical talents and much more to do with other parts of Eddie that are still hanging around — and uncomfortably so.
GH Spoilers Tease Ned is Also Very Much Ned
For certain, he’s not pretending. Ned’s memories did return. He is in love with his wife, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). He is scheming against Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) to plot an attack against Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
He didn’t hesitate to go up against his mother either. By all accounts, he is Ned, through and through. He has no desire to quit ELQ, pack it in, and become a musician. Rather, despite his departure from his senses, Ned’s primary goal right now is focusing on the family business. Yes, just like Ned.
General Hospital Spoilers — But His Desire for More Lingers
Some fans have been gossiping that they think Tracy’s preoccupation with Ned’s guitar is signaling what’s to come — that he might actually have a mid-life crisis and chase his dreams of being a rockstar again.
Hey, he could link up with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Blaze (Jacqueline Lopez) in a pinch! But the reality is that Ned’s lingering sense of Eddie’s emotions might have a whole lot more to do with his personal life than his professional one.
When we last saw Eddie, he was starting to remember moments he shared with his ex-wife, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) — who’s still in town.
Will Ned continue to find it hard to shake the remnants of Eddie’s feelings for Lois and their unfinished business? If so, where will that leave his current marriage to Lois’ bestie, Olivia? Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
