The latest promo from General Hospital for the week of August 31-September 4 has just been released-in one scene, Britt questions, “Why do we have to meet all the way out here?” The following clip shows Anna aiming a gun directly at Britt as she ominously responds, “So no one can hear you scream.” How chilling-while this will undoubtedly shock Britt, it’s not entirely unexpected for GH fans.
Unlike the rest of Port Charles, viewers are aware that Anna is far from mentally stable. She has been experiencing hallucinations of Peter August (Wes Ramsey), which has driven her to eliminate Britt.
Anna Has Been Strategically Positioning Herself To Take Out Britt
Moreover, since Anna’s return to Port Charles, she has been strategically positioning herself to ensnare, trap, and ultimately eliminate Britt.
The hallucination of Peter has led Anna to believe that Britt was involved in her hostage situation at Wyndemere, alongside her brother, Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey).
Anna perceives Britt as a persistent threat to her loved ones and family. While Britt is certainly flawed and has made numerous errors since her arrival in town, she is not responsible for Anna’s kidnapping and poses no real danger to the former super spy’s family.
Anna Has Been Plotting This Since She Returned
Since Anna re-entered Port Charles, she has been devising a scheme to take Britt’s life.
This plan began when Anna assured Britt that she would leverage her connections at the WSB to help her uncover more details regarding her brother’s death.
Britt’s mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), has been struggling with the information surrounding Cassius’ passing, and Britt was eager to gain some insider knowledge.
Meanwhile, Anna has also recently reached out to her old friend, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
The two caught up, and she asked if he would sell her a piece of land on his property outside of town on Mount Emerson for a retreat.

However, fans sensed her real motive for wanting a cabin in the woods was more about hiding a body than relaxing. Fast-forward to the week of August 31, and it seems Anna is ready to execute her terrible plan against Britt.

Britt might be saved or escape at some point, but there will definitely be some tense moments to keep fans engaged!
