General Hospital Spoilers: Anna Has Britt Right Where She Wants Her – Then Something Stops Her Cold

General Hospital Spoilers: Anna Has Britt Right Where She Wants Her – Then Something Stops Her ColdGeneral Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) hesitation will be Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) salvation this week on the ABC soap.

Even though Anna’s brainwashing and PTSD has left her with hallucinations of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) telling her to kill Britt, she’ll be safe-at least for now!

Both Sonny And Valentin Have Been Trying To Help Anna

Both Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) have been trying to help Anna since her return from the clinic in France.

It was obvious that she still needs help, but she would have never been released had she not faked her healing-she hallucinates Peter August constantly. He always tells Anna her deepest fears, and that she must kill those who cause them.

Lately the target has been Britt, who hallucinated Peter confirms to Anna that she’s a Faison like him, like their father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) who terrorized her for so many years.

Anna even talked Sonny into selling her a piece of land on a mountain he owns-Mount Emerson; and she had plans for it, considering the secrecy she wanted surrounding the sale!

The Brainwashing By Ross Cullum Has Left Deep Scars In Anna

The brainwashing by Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) has left deep scars in Anna, especially his spot-on impersonations of Faison, right down to the novel and the cigarillos.

And those scars were intentional-because he knew, if there was anyone who could have put a halt to his completion of the cold fusion reactor, Faison’s last project, it was her!

The only person who knew Cesar Faison and how he operated, aside from Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) as well as Cullum is Anna, and he had to neutralize her threat!

Cullum meticulously played on Anna’s deepest fears that somehow, Faison was alive so well it’s overridden her memories of Faison dead in the morgue.

It also overrode her memories of Peter’s death, including that she watched it happen and didn’t call for help.

Anna Finds Herself Alone With Britt-Perfect Opportunity, But She Hesitates

Anna finds herself alone with Britt, in what would be a perfect opportunity to take her out-but she hesitates-perhaps her better angels overrule Peter’s prodding.

Suddenly, she remembers a time over twenty years ago when every indication was that her daughter, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) was dead, and the grief and rage she felt.

For a short time, but long enough to cause her to hesitate, she feels empathy for Liesl and what losing her daughter would do to her.

That short hesitation causes the perfect opportunity to elude Anna for Peter’s demand she kill Britt. So for now, Britt may be safe, but who knows what will happen in the future?
