General Hospital News – Michael Easton reunited with TV Family at GH Fan Club Weekend!

For those of you who have been keeping up with General Hospital, you all remember about five weeks ago when Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) bid his brother Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and daughter Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) goodbye in order to enter rehab.

Thankfully, fhat was just for the purpose of the show, in real life, Michael Easton is much happier and doing well, as illustrated by his recent reunion with both Swickard and Love at the most recent GH Fan Club Weekend.

Insta-happiness!

It was documented over on his Instagram, where he stayed about his on-screen fam, “Loved catching up with the family last night. Two of the most wonderful people on the planet @jophiellelove and @joshswickard and I am blessed to know them. Thank you to everyone who came out for a good cause. Hope you had as much as we did.”

The first picture had he and his on-screen brother together and the next picture has him and his on-screen daughter together. Awww! Easton, Swickard, and Love weren’t the only ones in attendance, far from it, other cast members included Maurice Bernard, Maura West, Cynthia Watros, Tabyana Ali, Rebecca Herbst and Evan Hofer.

The GH Fan Weekend gives fans a chance to connect with current cast member as well as reconnect with old favorites who are no longer in Port Charles.

What lies ahead for Michael Easton?

Good question, he doesn’t rightly know yet. So far DOOL has not come-a-calling even though he played Tanner there. Right now, fellow GH Alum Rebecca Budig is making her debut as Dr. Taylor Hayes on B&B, so it would be interesting if, perchance in the future, that soap presented an opportunity for him.

Then again there is always Y&R and since Finn wasn’t killed off for good, there is also the chance that he could go back to GH. After all, look at what happened to Jason Morgan’s character.

We thought he was never coming back but surprise surprise (or not really, actually) there he is back in Port Charles alive and well after what seemed to be a certain, permanent death.

What about Finn, though?

Again, good question, after experiencing severe depression over the death of his Father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) he spiraled into drug addiction and drinking until he passed out, not a good look for a medical professional.

So, he had to go and get some help and gain some coping mechanism that will hopefully be healthier than the ones before.

If all goes well, Dr. Finn could return to GH a changed man and all could go well. That would be great, but things have a way of getting twisted in Port Charles so if he does return, chances are he will have picked up some new tricks from rehab, let’s hope it’s not hiding his addiction further because that would be a tragic route indeed.

His rehab stay is slated to last around 3 months, so come this fall around November sweeps, we should know what is going on with Finn. Stay tuned!!!
