General Hospital spoilers reveal Maxie continuing to lie to the people who love her most when it comes to the whereabouts of her baby, Louise, who she’s been hiding in plain sight for seven months.
General Hospital Spoilers: Changing Characters To Fit A Plot
While it was refreshing to see smart-as-a-whip Tracy Quartermaine deduce that Baby Bailey is really Baby Louise, having Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) be the only one aside from Tracy to figure that out thus far makes no sense. Not only has GH dumbed down men like Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Austin Holt (Roger Howarth), it’s dumbed down a pair of women as well — two women who should have easily figured out months ago what Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has been up to.
Why Are Our Two Super Spies Acting Stupid?
It’s nice to see General Hospital finally decided to put Kristina Wagner back on contract and place her into her daughter’s kidnapped baby story more than half a year after the baby was kidnapped, but we suspect she never would have made it there at all had money not been freed up in the ABC budget from the loss of Steve Burton and Ingo Rademacher, two actors who refused to comply with the Disney Covid-19 vaccine mandate.
Still, at least she is there now but it really should have taken her about a day to figure out that Bailey is Louise. Just being in the Q mansion and saying the words out loud — that Louise and Bailey are the exact same age — should have made a lightbulb go off in her head and not just Tracy’s.
As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she has been saying since Louise was allegedly kidnapped that her number one priority was finding Maxie’s baby but she got sidetracked a few times along the way and seemed to ignore this priority. But now, she is really into it because Felicia decided to put her investigative skills to work and asked Anna to join her.
Now, tell us why two women who have spent so much of their lives solving mysteries for the WSB took this long to even join forces here, much less still be wondering why Maxie acts so calm and normal for a woman whose baby was kidnapped at birth out in the woods seven months ago. Make it make sense, GH. And right now it doesn’t make sense because two of our favorite smart and savvy women have now been dumbed down to fit this Maxie mess because Peter August refuses to die. Or GH refuses to kill him. And we think it comes right down to that. Make everyone look dumb so Peter can defy death.
