General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Michael Could Go Back On His Word And Turn Sonny In — Whose Side Would Carly Be On?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has handed the flash drive over to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) which would serve to put his father behind bars for the rest of his life. There’s just one problem: that was a copy. Michael said he would respect whatever decision Carly made with regard to the SEC case and turning Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in to save herself. While Carly might interpret that as meaning Michael will walk away from all of this if she tosses that drive and never looks back, the reality is he only meant he won’t harp on her again about it. She has all of the facts now and can do with the drive what she chooses, but her deciding not to doesn’t mean Michael won’t. Should he make a move against his pops after all in a desperate attempt to save his mother from her own conscience, whose side would Carly even be on?

General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Corinthos Gives His Mom A Way Out

The discord between Sonny and Michael has reached an all-time high. It seems like there is no one who can bridge the gap between them, except, of course, Carly. However, she won’t let things slide easily. Carly is beyond upset with her children for putting themselves in such a dangerous situation. As a mother, she wants nothing more than to protect them from harm. But Carly’s goal has been to bring Michael and Sonny back together, not to drive a wedge further between them. So when Michael gave her a way to save her own skin without uttering a word about what Sonny has done, she was shocked that he would betray his father in that way. Moreover, she was deeply concerned about the safety of her family should Michael have acted on his plan to take Sonny down. But she might not want to clutch too tightly to the relief she felt when he left the flash drive in her possession.

General Hospital Updates – Carly Spencer Is A Martyr

Carly’s moral compass has always pointed in the direction of respect and dignity. It’s no surprise that she would never do anything to hurt her ex-hubs, even if they had their fair share of drama and heartbreak in the past. It’s clear that marital status doesn’t break the bond between these two. As such, it was painful for Carly to hear that her son tried to ruin Sonny’s life, especially when Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) is also involved. Joss is a young girl with her whole life ahead of her, and Carly worries about the impact that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) may have on her daughter’s future. She has warned Joss about the dangers of getting involved with bad boys, but it seems that history is repeating itself. Who is going to look after her kids if she’s in prison? Clearly, they need heavy supervision.

She Might Also Be A Traitor

Carly isn’t willing to roll over on Sonny or Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Great, she’s a saint. But if Michael goes after his father anyway when she decides not to, there could be serious consequences for the entire family. Carly would stop at nothing to keep Michael and his wife and children safe, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to support that move. He should know that by now, but he may be willing to risk his relationship with her just to keep her out of prison. It’s too bad that won’t keep anyone safe. Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers as it becomes crystal clear that Carly was right and the whole family ends up in jeopardy.
