General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Diane Can’t Take Drew’s Case — Because Sonny Wants Him In Lock-Up

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) is going to have her hands full taking on a case like Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison).

Yes, even for her. While she might be a hotshot with a minimal record of losses, Diane could have other limitations on what she can do for Drew that she isn’t aware of just yet.

While she’s normally a very straight and narrow attorney without much regard for bending the rules, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t go above and beyond to protect her high-paying clients’ interests.

One such client, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), just may have an interest in seeing to it that Drew serves the entity of his three-year sentence — leaving Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) flailing in the wind, alone, and needing her ex-hubby to rely on.

Will Diane do Sonny’s dirty work even if it means throwing or turning down Drew’s case?

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny’s Sabotage

Sonny’s sole interest in keeping Drew safe may not have much to do with Drew at all. Rather, he has been on the hunt for a way back into Carly’s good graces — and he just may have found it.

Longtime GH fans often lament that there is no way Carly will ever have the chemistry she does with Sonny with any other man, and few are fans of Drew and Carly’s version of what chemistry is.

Sonny’s efforts to protect might serve two purposes; one, to keep Carly happy, and two, to make sure Drew stays put.

General Hospital Updates – Say This is Bigger Than Cyrus

When Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) went to Pentonville to set Book (Brad Schmidt) straight and warn him not to touch a hair on Drew’s head, he was actually making sure Drew’s war with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) could wage on.

Sonny knows he doesn’t have to let anyone go after Drew and that Cyrus will do it all on his own in due time.

Whoever doesn’t survive that war, will benefit Sonny either way. Meanwhile, Carly will be none the wiser and it’ll look like Sonny did what he could to protect Drew.

Could Sonny Have Been Behind All of It?

Some fans are even starting to chatter about the possibility that the judge who ruled so aggressively against Drew and gave him such a harsh sentence might have been bought off.

When Diane starts digging into the case details, she may be the one who figures out what likely went down here — that Sonny saw to it that Drew went away for a longer time than he thinks Carly can withstand his absence.

Will Diane have to deny handling Drew’s case, and if so, how is she going to explain this to Carly? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead to find out.
