General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Curtis Wants A DNA Test, But What Do Portia, Taggert, And Trina Think?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is eager to figure out whether or not he is Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) biological father. Curtis knows this may not inherently change his relationship with Trina, but it’s important to him that they don’t leave the question on the table and continue to wonder what is real. Trina doesn’t exactly feel the same way though. What is real to her is the life that she has experienced for the last two decades. What is real to her is the trauma her mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), has put her through that she has to come to terms with. Whether or not Curtis is her father, genetically speaking, doesn’t change how she feels about the dad who raised her — Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews). Is Trina worried that Curtis won’t understand that?

General Hospital Spoilers — A Three-Way Betrayal

Portia’s commitment to keeping it a secret that Curtis may be Trina’s father wasn’t just a betrayal against her new husband. In recent weeks, we’ve watched the plot thicken and tension build as people close to Curtis — like Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) — took issue with Portia’s secret, but all that did was cast doubt on Portia’s love for Curtis. What about the effect her deceit has had on her ex-husband, Marcus, and her daughter, Trina?

General Hospital Updates – Trina Robinson Is Angry

When Curtis approaches Trina about getting a DNA test, she’s not going to be keen on rolling the dice on the only life she’s ever known. It might come across as though she’s angry at Curtis for even suggesting it, but really, she’s angry with her mother and the entire situation. She’s pissed that she even has to entertain what to do next and whether or not finding out the truth is the right thing to do. In a perfect world, Marcus would still be her biological father, but that won’t undo the harm that her mother has caused and the fact that she knew she was keeping this secret for twenty years.

Portia Robinson And Marcus Taggert Weigh In

Portia and Marcus have opinions about this, too, and both of them are going to act in Trina’s best interest. Portia will encourage Trina to follow her heart, and Marcus is going to assure his daughter that nothing will change between them no matter what the outcome, and that he doesn’t care if she gets a DNA test done or not because it has no impact on how he feels about her. That’ll feel good to hear, but it won’t help Trina to know that Curtis could be her father and she’s avoiding getting to the bottom of it. If only there was a way to magically undo all of this. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
