General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) knows just how bad Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) feels right now, and she’s going to take note of his pain as she attempts to save him from himself. Curtis hasn’t been coping well with the reality of his life since his wedding night — when he found out his bride, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), had been lying to him for nearly two decades. Portia insisted to Curtis years ago that there was no way Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) could be his daughter, and yet here they are with the truth coming out that Portia never had any confirmation of that to be able to make that claim. Curtis may or may not have a daughter, and he may or may not stay married to his lying wife.

Curtis has already filled Nina in on what Portia did and the shambles that his marriage is currently in. She knows she isn’t sure what the future holds for him and Trina either since Trina hasn’t made a decision about whether or not she wants the paternity test. It’s a tough choice to make knowing that the result is permanent and she can’t unknow it if it turns out Curtis is her biological father. He may open up more to Nina and share how pressed he is to find out, but he’s trying to respect Trina’s wishes and give her the time and space she needs. Nina has already urged Curtis to stand by and not push her, but she’s going to take note of how hard it is for Curtis to stand still and not act on his feelings.

Nina knows what it’s like to just wish she could control the people around her. In a perfect world, she could force Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to open up to her and let her into her life. She would have a relationship with her grandson, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver). She and Willow would move forward hand in hand, leaving the past behind them. But this isn’t a perfect world. She has learned the hard way that pushing too hard with Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will only push them further away from her. When she sees Curtis making those same mistakes, she is going to step in and do what she can to help spare him from the same consequences she has had to face for being too quick to want to see Curtis Fall Off the Wagon?
That cost could be rather steep for Curtis. He isn’t just gambling with his potential relationship with his stepdaughter who could be his biological daughter. He’s also gambling on his own health and well-being. Curtis is a recovering addict, and his tendency to slip off the wagon and into old habits isn’t something that comes around very often. He even managed to make it through his last divorce without so much as thinking about ditching sobriety. In fact, he opened a bar at the same time as a means to get on with his life. This time, it looks like he just wants to take a seat at the bar, and Nina might be the only person who can get through to him before he throws his whole life away.
