General Hospital Comings & Goings September 15-19: Shocking Recast, Villainous Return + More
General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint at major moments in the land of Port Charles during the week of September 15, as well as a flurry of casting news! Find out who’s ‘coming’ and who’s ‘going’ from the ABC soap over the next five days, below.
NuCharlotte Cassadine
GH fans were completely caught off guard during the Monday, September 8 episode, when Bluesy Burke unexpectedly debuted as the Charlotte Cassadine recast, replacing OG Charlotte, Scarlett Fernandez.
Fernandez originated the character in 2016 at the age of 7, leaving the show in 2021, only to reprise it once again in 2023. While Fernandez was out of the picture, Amelia McLain was recast in 2021, and AnaSofia Bianchi played Charlotte in 2023 for one episode.
Well, Hello There, Valentin Cassadine!
Speaking of unexpected, Valentin Cassadine also made a stunning comeback this past week, as James Patrick Stuart re-entered the canvas. Valentin was last seen in March of this year, after he got caught while on the run and was sent to Steinmauer prison.
From the sounds of it, this won’t be the last GH fans see of Valentin, as fall previews note that he and Charlotte will take center stage for a major storyline. Valentin tried to strike a deal, via video chat, with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to see Charlotte in exchange for information. There’s a good chance that Valentin will get his wish, if someone can convince Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) to give the greenlight, that is!
More Casting Notes
Martin Grey will be seen during the Monday, September 15 episode, as Michael E. Knight gets more screentime. Watch for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to attempt to manipulate his former lawyer. In addition, Finn Carr will get more time on canvas as Rocco Falconeri this week, as well as his sidekick, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn). In fact, Danny will issue a plea to someone during the Friday, September 19 show.
