General Hospital Comings & Goings February 10-14: Fan Favorite Out, Recast Update, Teen Appearance
General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate there are some key casting updates fans should take note of. What changes are taking place during the week of February 10-14 and beyond? Read below to find out!
Welcome To Port Charles, Chris McKenna!
In one of the most shocking recast announcements in the land of soaps in recent history, GH fans were completely caught off guard to learn that actor Charles Mesure was exiting the role of Jack Brennan, and soap vet Chris McKenna was stepping into the part.
McKenna is best known for his One Life to Live (OLTL) run from 1990-1993 as Joey Buchanan, which he entered at the age of 12. He also played Detective Mark Harding on the Young and the Restless from 2014 to 2015, as well as a quick stint on The Bold and the
Beautiful as Dr. Hayden in 2016. McKenna already debuted as the WSB Agent this past week.
Meanwhile, GH released a statement regarding Mesure’s departure and welcoming McKenna to the soap. It seems like Mesure opted to leave the role and the show, with his final appearance on the daytime drama taking place on Thursday, January 30.
Mesure entered the role in December 2023 and quickly became a fan favorite, despite some of his character’s shady dealings. Will McKenna have the same chemistry with Laura Wright’s Carly Spencer, as Mesure did? Only time will tell!
Father/Son Moments
In other casting news, young actor Asher Antonyzyn will return to storylines as Danny Morgan this week. The character will be seen during the Wednesday, February 12 episode as he interacts with his dad, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Danny found out a lot of interesting information during the week of February 3-7. His grandmother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) informed him that his mom, Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) death was a targeted murder and not a hospital mistake as originally thought.
Meanwhile, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) overheard a conversation where Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) informed his dad, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is the number one suspect in Sam’s murder case. Rocco informed Danny of this, so will Danny fill his dad in on what he knows?
