Carrie Underwood’s Response To GH Nancy Lee Grahn’s Dig Against American Idol Legend
General Hospital (GH) news reveals that outspoken Nancy Lee Grahn has made it clear that she’s no fan of country music superstar Carrie Underwood.
What did Carrie do to tick off Grahn? She performed America the Beautiful at President Donald Trump’s inauguration and that apparently was enough to get on her bad side.
Underwood was the original winner of American Idol in 2005 and is married Michael Fisher, a Canadian former professional ice hockey player for the Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators in the National Hockey League.
Patriotic Song Brought out Vitriol
Grahn couldn’t help herself and took to Threads to reveal her dislike of the country music queen. The impetus was an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live in which Underwood and her fellow American Idol judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie appeared.
Grahn posted: ‘I refuse to even look at @carrieunderwood.’
Once her words went viral the actress spoke out again: ‘I simply said I would watch [Kimmel] next week because I didn’t want to look at Carrie Underwood (for obvious reasons) who was his guest that night.’

According to the Daily Mail, Underwood has no intention of responding to Grahn’s dig ‘because she knows it would turn against her fast.’
Underwood is famously tight-lipped about politics, despite performing at the inauguration.
The Jesus Take the Wheel singer told People that she was ‘honored’ to sing at the historic event and was photographed with President Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
These days the Before he Cheats songstress “is focusing on filming and judging the reality show American Idol.”
A source told the outlet that ‘Carrie has American Idol to worry about, and being the voice of the NFL on Sunday Night … She received a huge backlash over the Trump inauguration … she weathered that storm and was able to get through it relatively unscathed.’
The Oklahoma native is now prepping for gigs in Tennessee and Iowa as she reportedly plans to “avoid party politics as ‘a mixture of both being busy and not wanting to poke any bears.’”
