Chris McKenna Launches Exclusive Fan Content After GH Exit
The former Jack Brennan actor promised to share Q&As and glimpses of what he's doing next.
General Hospital (GH) fans welcomed Chris McKenna to the ABC daytime soap, but it came crashing down when he exited. However, he hasn’t forgotten his fans, and he’s launching exclusive fan content. Read on for more about it.
Offering Exclusive Content
Taking to his Instagram account ahead of the weekend, Chris shared a reel and a caption explaining what’s happening.
The General Hospital alum said in his reel, “So, for those of you who would like a little more of me on your screen since I’m not on your television at the moment, I’m inviting you guys to subscribe to my Instagram.”
He promised things like “exclusive content,” “exclusive videos,” and “live Q&As.” That will happen about twice a month. Then he joked about interactivity with his family, saying, “You can suggest songs to sing with Spencer.”
Actually, ABC fans might love that because his son, Spencer, really is a cute little kid.
In his caption, Chris McKenna told General Hospital fans:

Fans React
In the comments section, plenty of GH fans told Chris that they will subscribe. And some of them already did. One fan said, “Hello good afternoon love this . We need you back to gh . You’re such a great actor. Have a blessed day.”

Another fan asked Chris, “Hi I’m Lind. I’m here, I heard ur coming back to GH? any truth to this???”
Sadly, it doesn’t look like he is returning as the ghost of Jack Brennan or anyone else, because he replied, saying, “news to me.”
Moving On
Staying in contact with his fans makes a lot of sense because we previously reported that he’s got other irons in the fire. For instance, he spoke about selling a script.
And he also said that he “holds the rights to the work of late American horror writer Thomas Tessier and hopes to bring more of it to the screen.”
GH fans can’t get their heads around the fact that the writers wrote McKenna out of the canvas. Many fans liked the way he portrayed Jack Brennan in the WSB. He’d only played the role that he took over from Charles Mesure for about 19 months.
He debuted on GH on February 4, 2025, and his final episode aired on September 1, 2026.
