That’s why there are so many General Hospital fans who say that they want Johnny Zacchara to come back to town!
The character was last played by Brandon Barash, who actually got let go from Days of Our Lives last year. He currently isn’t on contract with any of the major daytime television shows.
That said, a lot of people think that Johnny should come back to take over for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
That would be a dream come true for many General Hospital fans that have been watching the show for many long years.
As many fans can recall, the actor was left quite disappointed when he found out that his contract was not being renewed at Days of Our Lives. He first landed the role of Stefan DiMera several years ago when he had to step in for actor Tyler Christopher at the time.
What’s Next In Port Charles?
Clearly, GH fans had a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “The Don of Port Charles is going to have to retire sometime and if he does, someone is going to have to take over the criminal element and or take over the mob in this town and who better than Johnny Boy Zacchara?”
Another critic wrote, “Whether it be Brandon Barash or a recast…have Johnny become the new kingpin in town. Johnny has history with the players in this town. He would be a worthy successor to Sonny & Jason allowing both of them to retire from the mob.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Johnny can run things and he can hire his own enforcer who can be his own version of Jason.”
