General Hospital spoilers suggest some major moments in Port Charles during the week of February 16-20, and some casting news to talk about, too! Find out who’s coming and who’s going from the ABC soap over the next five days, below.
2 Major Character Exits
General Hospital spoilers note that there are two major exits to talk about. First off, Steve Burton announced a “short break” with the soap opera.
According to reports, he’s wrapped up filming already and is on hiatus with GH. In an Instagram post, Burton promised his GH character, Jason Morgan, would return in the summer; something he also confirmed during his YouTube podcast with fellow GH star Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli).
In addition, Frank Valentini, General Hospital’s executive producer, confirmed Burton’s exit with a statement. He noted that the ABC soap loves Burton and he’s “… glad the show worked it out so he can get some personal time with his family.”
Valentini added, “We have some great Jason story leading up to spring and look forward to his return in the summer.”
In other exit news, GH fans were buzzing online after the close of the Friday, February 13 episode, as Finola Hughes, who plays Anna Devane, was not listed in the credits.
Series regulars are always named in the credits, so this has viewers raising an eyebrow. It’s important to note that there’s been no announcement stating that Hughes has left General Hospital.
Welcome Back, Maxie Jones!
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Maxie Jones officially woke up from her coma at the end of the Thursday, February 12 episode. Fans can expect to see her get caught up in the Port Charles drama come the week of February 16-20.
In addition, fans will see more of Dr. Liesl Obrecht, as Kathleen Gati reprises the role during the Monday, February 16 show. She’ll have something stunning to tell her son, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), so it sounds like he’ll hear the news about Maxie.
Meanwhile, Paige Herschell will get more airtime this week, playing Michael Corinthos’s (Rory Gibson) new girlfriend, Jacinda Bracken, and Bluesy Burke will be seen as Charlotte Cassadine.
