By now, you probably heard that General Hospital (GH) star Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) is leaving the ABC daytime soap. Apparently it’s not forever, because he talked about returning. Since then his wife, Michelle Lundstrom seemed to suggest that he will, indeed return.
Fans Fear He Won’t Come back
Many fans get fearful when people on the soaps say they will take a hiatus. Obviously, especially if they’re popular, like Steve Burton is, they worry that they might never come back. And, if it involves contract negotiations, there’s always more uncertainty.
Well, according to a new post by Michelle Lundstrom it seems that folks will see Jason Morgan back on their screens. Actually, she didn’t say it in so many words, but she seemed upbeat about his performance on General Hospital.
The Up-Beat Post On Social Medai
When she shared about it on Instagram yesterday, Michelle posted up a series of photos and reels showing Steve Burton getting his makeup done, his dressing room on the set of GH, and more.
In her caption, she wrote:
Just over here admiring my incredibly talented husband @1steveburton Watching you shine on set and in life makes my heart so happy. I’m so proud of you, and so grateful I get to be by your side through every season of this beautiful life.

Main Departure Reason
One of the reasons that Steve gave for his hiatus involved him being newly married and wanting to spend more time with his wife. Well, nobody seems to mind that, as you can see. However, if he doesn’t return then no doubt all hell will break loose among GH fandom.
Still, the real life Jason Morgan seems trustworthy and unlikely to ruin the hopes of his fans. When he said that he returns this summer, probably he spoke the truth.
