That’s because it’s been a very long time since they’ve gotten back together, which is something they have often done in the past after their tumultuous breakups.
However, it looks like the writers just don’t want to pair Sonny and Carly together anymore.
This has prompted a lot of GH fans to wonder if this might be the end of an era. Some have even taken to social media to weigh in on the matter.
One fan commented with, “I don’t know if they need to be married anymore because they have Donna as an excuse to have an opinion on each other’s choices. I don’t remember what storyline they were in the middle of at the time but I thought it was strange how they threw in a late in life pregnancy for Carly.”

Selfishly, as a Carly fan, the farther she’s out of Sonny’s orbit romantically the better.
I really loved the fight she had with Lucas recently about how she can’t extricate herself fully anymore and the negative effects it can have, and I wish they would have dug deeper into her complacency and compliance on that.
