General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny’s IV Injected, Mac Learns Of A Crime-Is The Mob Boss Dying?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could be dying-he was attacked in his hospital recovery room in Los Angeles.

Right after Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) were assured he came through surgery just fine, an attacker with a syringe dressed as a nurse entered his room.

The Attacker Looked Suspiciously Like Colette Moreau

The attacker looked suspiciously like Colette Moreau, (Mercedes Renard Lopez) Jack Brennan’s (Chris L. McKenna) assistant-the same one who went rogue and shot at Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Ala the late Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) she was injecting his IV with a syringe after turning the heart monitor off-and he awakened and saw her! Brick told Carly he had a security team watching Sonny, but after he left is when this happened-where was his security team-did they leave too?

At some point later, Carly walks into his room and is shocked-and exclaims, “oh my God!” What does she see when she walks into the room-does she see him being attacked or has she gotten there too late?

Cyrus Renault-The Perfect Fall Guy?

Very few people knew where Sonny was being operated on and fewer knew he was having surgery.

Carly made up a story that she was going to Los Angeles to scout hotel property, and presumably she told Jack that story.

The only other person who knew who wasn’t in Sonny’s family was Natalia Ramirez (Eva La Rue) and she told her ex-husband Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota)! If that syringe was filled with digitalis, Cyrus would be the main suspect-the perfect fall guy since he’s dead and no one knows but Brennan and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).

But Colette might know too because Brennan trusts his assistant-or is he using her for his hitwoman and had her follow Carly?

Mac Learns Of A Crime

It isn’t until the end of the week that Carly is back in Port Charles where she is debriefed by Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). She’ll tell Carly about all things Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and about Michael Corinthos (most recently Chad Duell) refusing to see Willow.

But that same day is when Mac Scorpio (John J. York) learns of a crime-the timing seems interesting.

Maurice Benard recently thanked his fans for supporting him and his career for over thirty years, although he didn’t say he was retiring.

But taking that and what happens on the ABC soap this week into consideration, could Sonny the mob boss be dying?
